I own my house without a mortgage, and all my utilities are already payable by CC. What other bills is Evolve good for paying, if they don't let you pay off CC bills? It seems like everything else is covered.

Why not just do some work instead of waiting for the spoon to reach the inside of your mouth...Gee!

Usually the mantra is "Don't call the ______". However in this case, there is obviously a partnership between Discover and Evolve (they've got the freakin' Discover logo on the front page). Discover is obviously aware of EXACTLY what Evolve is (online bill payment service) and there is really nothing to hide.

Some things are so obvious they are hard to understand. :p

Makes sense, I am actually waiting for my discover statement to cut to see the cash back amount. You are right, I should have just called and checked directly. It's way easier. Well, a good lesson for future. Thanks for spelling it out for me.

Has anyone used vanilla mastercard on evolve ? Small promo on Rite Aid, looking to dip in :)

Paid 2 car leases and my gas and electric bills, all of which otherwise cant be paid by CC this month. Total of about $1,700 on my Discover card.

I'm fine with this going forward. not a huge money maker, but I like putting some spend on my Discover card, otherwise it sits unused pretty much

Well it's nice that they accept credit cards (again) but as it turns out I make much more by not using Discover. Buying Paypal cards with 5% CB, then use the funds to load a Buxx card for another 1% CB and then pay my bills on Evolve with the Buxx card.

I use Evolve for ~$350/m of regular spending. Paying these bills with Discover would discount by 1% = $3.50 while the PP>Buxx>Evolve route generates $17 after fees for the same amount. And it has the added side effect of more diversity on both the PP and Buxx accounts.

I signed up for EM and checked to see lists of payees, I don't see Chase, Citi or any other credit card bill payment options other than store card bills. I also don't see an option to add my landlord's name to pay apartment rent.
I do see Comed which I can use to pay my regular monthly bill which is about $40.
I do see comcast and my tmobile payments but I would rather pay with my Chase ink card to earn 5 points.

So If I pay me electric bill using EM, is there any cash advance fee for using any credit cards, visa or MC gift cards?

Thanks

Julian, which issuer's Buxx card are you using?

After a long time , signed up and paid a $20 Comed bill with the $200 Visa GC. Hope it goes thru fine.
