I bought actual groceries at Safeway the other day, and there is a line on the receipt indicating the number of saver stamps earned. However, the entire stamp process is manual, so if your cashier liked you, and wanted to give you additional stamps, it doesn't seem like anything would stop him. Except potentially getting in trouble later on...

I stopped in on my way to work this morning. They hadn't put out this week's circular yet, but I bought a gift card anyway. All the registers were closed, so I had to buy at self checkout, with attendant override. The coupon didn't print out, so he had to give me a rain check for $15.

I don't know when they update their systems, but this one may not be automatic yet.

Anyone know if variables are excluded from the 15.00 off 25.00 coupon for 150.00 Visa/Amex GC purchase?

Forgive me for a newbie question. Does this offer have limits like maximum one gift card per day or something like that ?

Safeway/Vons master thread

This one says only one per transaction not household. So rinse and repeat with 200 vgc all you need. Mind the coupons expire in 7 days

systems update at 03:00 eastern. Variables of all types(AMEX & VISA) are excluded; consider yourself lucky to get that Rain Check.

Yes. There is no material advantage to purchasing that design, except perhaps external aesthetics.

Indeed, $200 blue VGC had Catalina failure at Safeway#1 this morning. Manager called Catalina and we must have spent 10-15 minutes on the phone with them, resulting in only a promise to mail me a coupon. The manager here never volunteers to fix things by ringing up a sfore GC.

Safeway#2 next stop, the coupon printed fine. Bought groceries afterward, for 69% savings.

Damnit, I was just at Safeway picking up a few GC! Better offer than the most recent ones, thanks! Good timing too with T-giving coming up.

A little disappointed. My coupon for $15 expires 11/11 so quick turn around. Hard to pile up. But still an excellent deal with BCP!

I did self checkout... Be aware the coupon prints out with the coupons they give once in awhile (off to the side). Easy to miss.

I tried a variable visa for $150 and was given a $10 off $50 coupon. I haven't seen that advertised so I'm not sure what triggered it.
