Agreed - I've broken in a few new CCs there (and as such gotten fraud alerts, etc. a couple times) -- and he's always been great as I call the CC companies to assure them that yes, it really is me making that purchase...

Also, every time I've bought VRs at Menlo Park, there have always been a couple other people in line with me also buying VRs. Your experience as well?

Other than stores that always have been cash only (evident by the large amount of beans on the shelves) I had a decent experience today purchasing remaining stock. Even bought at one CVS in Monterey Park which in the past has been reported as cash only, but the shift supervisor apparently never sold a bean in his life since I had to walk him through the steps.

^ how does one become a sup w/o any bean's transaction experience.

I will be investigating that in the AM :)

Just bought the last two VR's tonight at my favorite CVS store (Bay Area). It was just like any other day. Cashier didn't mentioned anything about them going cash only soon, nor did I bother to ask if she had heard anything.

Where are you guys buying these? I can't find any.

I was wondering the exact same thing. I've been to 11 in the South Bay with no luck -- guess people are getting more creative with their damn hiding spots.

Spent longer than I'd like to admit at the South Bay CVS stores near me looking for people's hiding spots the past couple days. Couldn't find anything... (though I primarily scoured the gift rack)

I stopped by 4 CVS on the way home. Everything looks normal as usual at northern Atlanta area. Only one cashier was reluctant to charge serve with CC, I said ok and bought VRs instead. I charged serve at the next CVS and picked up more VRs & PP cash. Not a single cashier mentioned about the memo.

Don't worry, I take multiple trips every year, but MS is relatively new to me. It's been flight miles, promotion bonuses, CC bonuses and occasional other opportunities previous to the last two years.

And you're not getting any younger, either.

Are you talking about the one by the Caltrain station?

should we all think about shorting CVS stock. for all we know, this is inside info. Revenue is going to be down huge next qtr.

Revenue on beans would be calculated at $3.95 per card, not $503.95. It is a very small drop in the bucket, but I am in no way offering any kind of stock/investing advice

It's only silly if you don't think the repeated posting of methods effects the number of people doing them and is an important factor in how long they last.
