Just left my neighborhood cvs in central jersey. Plopped down ten vr's on the counter. Manager rang it up. No issues. Happy for another day. All he said was have a nice day

Data point: just bought one $500 VR with cc in nw chicago. no mention of memo.

Just got tender type not accepted at a store in westchester county, NY that worked for me last night. Few more on the way home that I'll check out.

works fine in SF Bay area as of now.
don't know for how long, nobody said a word about this coming to an end in the stores. But if it's true, we can blame only ourselves. Greed and stupidity. Everybody in stores knows now that VRs are highly thought after item. |
Pretty clear by now but a few more stores in BOS confirmed hardcoded for cash only. Including one where I am 99% sure I was the only one buying VR's

Just bought two in Charleston, SC with CC. Friendly cashier recognized me and warned me that in two days it will be cash only.

Crapload in Hurst TX @ precinct and bedford euless road. Just bought. Claimed didn't know about memo. They are on main rack and also on a mini rack facing main rack location. RUN!

DC, at least NW, is still active. Just got $1.5k on a new citi exec.

Depleted the last $4K available in DFW (Irving store at MacArthur/Walnut Hill). Asked cashier about cash-only, she said going to cash-only tomorrow.
It was my first visit to the store where they actually had any. |
All VR in my area has been wiped clean. Sugar Land, Missouri City, TX area.

If any of you can still get VR, all I can say is get as much as you can. Don't be lazy!

My go to store in Kernersville NC has fallen. Cash only via POS system. RIP VRs...
