The acronym "OV" and the word "OneVanilla" are all over this and other threads. It's a little late to call for silence.
Without any direct knowledge of why most methods die, your claim is only a guess, one of many -- why should we stop using perfectly good words based on a guess? Besides, a call for secrecy is in essence selfish and greedy. |
Cashier scanned the first VR, and some message popped up informing him it was cash only. Didn't get as far as swiping my card, my ID, or even the second VR.

Tried in Bridgeport, CT at CVS where I was previously buying beans. Cashier told me before I got up to the register that's a no-go, she ran them just to humor me, and it said alternate tender required.

Yes, let's get on the evening news and talk about what we do. Let's get all 300M+ US citizens in on this game. There is no evidence it will have any negative effects, right? Free sh*t for everyone!!!

Really, really stupid question: Why buy VR at CVS? I think I saw a thread asking this before, but didn't read. And now seeing all these posts I'm curious to know what i've been "missing out".
Assuming 1% cashback, So you pay $3.95 for 504 ChaseUR points, or 7.8 cent per points. Which is an average ratio for MS, right, or even less than average? If you have Ink bold wouldnt it be more beneficial to do 6$ 200$-VGC type, for 1030 points, a ratio of 5.8 cpm ? I assume some dont have Ink Bold but most MSer should have it. Unless you have some cc with higher % cashback at CVS, like the hilton amex? but hilton points = meh to me.. I guess i couldnt grasp or realize how BIG this CVS-VR thing is.. To me it's good for minimum spending, but MS, not so much? could someone please explain? Thank you! |

You want it to be limited to you, then. Good luck with that.
His logic implies that he is the one who discovered all methods of MS. |

Some people have the 5% cards, such as Amex Blue Cash, Wells Fargo Rewards and Citi 5x TYP (ending now for most!) which makes drug stores a good place to buy
For me I just need points, never cash, so I guess this is not a big loss @ThereYaGo: agreed, we just lost an easy way for min spending |
