Random question - When loading BB at Walmart, does the BB card have to have your name on it? Or can I load my SO's card at Walmart without her being there?

I've done that many times without issue; no clerk has ever asked to see the card. But YMMV, of course.

Given that CC payment for VR now dead, does anyone know what the payment policy is for One Vanilla Prepaid Debit Cards? Can these still be purchased with CC at CVS?

If so then an alternate means of meeting spending requirements would be buying the $500 denominations of the OV debit cards, going to Walmart and purchase money orders (or deposit to BB). Also, I see that 7-11 and Rite Aid are retailers of these. Anyone familiar with the payment policy of these retailers for buying OV debit cards?

Too bad these pu$$y's on this thread haven't contacted Mr. C and let him know their thoughts!

N. Virginia is reporting dead. My 2 go-to CVS' POS would not accept CCs. The staff had no idea what was going on. I'd bought $5K in VR at one just last night. :(

I purchased $5K VR at 12 noon PST. It's now 5 pm PST (midnight GMT). According to reports, each "day" resets at this time. Should I try now, or tomorrow morning? If everybody is correct, this will be the last day I can do >$1K, since the end arrives at 5 pm local time tomorrow.

ELP is now dead, "tender type not accepted" on Serve reload. VR's were sold out too. Good luck guys!

To my surprise, scored $5K in Bay Area just now. No mention of memo or change.

Do you mind sharing which store is it?

Management (CVS Flagler) says no beans in Miami after the 4th as they got the memo.

But geez guys, if Cary only had told us he had an embarrassing problem with beans we coulda all chipped in and bought him a case of Beano!:D

Been away for business the last couple of days while all this has happened. My wife was nice enough to go check out a few CVS for me while i was gone.
Tomorrow after work i will have to start going to all the places you mentioned and maybe even walgreens to see if any GC can be purchased. Need to get cracking for the month. I feel the "MS" itch....all fellow MS addicts know what i am talking about.

I actually had a clerk at the money center ask me for ID when loading a BB (luckily it was mine that day). Same clerk another time was the only one that gave me a hassle over loading with a gift card (some how she saw it while I was loading)--I avoid her now. Otherwise never and issue and I even hand them the card. My prepared explanation if they ever ask about my wife's card is that I load it so she can spend from it.

After work I bought the $2K of VRs I needed to fill up BB for this month. This time I'll clean out the account will bill payments and not leave a little money in like I did previously. It doesn't seem worth it to me to fill it up at WM with GCs next month, so if there are no more VR sources to be found, I'll just close it.
