And the magical, mythical place I live, where VRs can still be mined with CCs, is not Oz! Although, on a clear day you can see Oz from my CVS...

A sad, sad day for the metroplex as the cash only patch has infected the region. Has anyone tried OV here yet? Feel free to message if needed..

Was there a final word on what time the $5000/day resets? I remember seeing it in a post a few days ago, but this thread got WAY too busy during that time. I read someone got $5K in the morning, and another $5K in the evening.

Last day in STL. Cashier said cash-only on 4/3.

Bought VR successfully at every CVS in pittsburgh on my lunch break.

Question, if you say just buy $500 at each store, are they still able to track a $5000/day limit or is that a per transaction limitation. Thanks!

Beans might be dead here in ALB, but the OV lives. ^

I've only had my DL scanned for $1000+. If staying under that threshold to avoid the scan, I can't see how you would be trackable.

I'd rather have 2 transactions of $5000 rather than 10 transactions of $990. I suspect this will raise fewer red flags with the credit card company. Does no one remember what time each day resets with CVS? And if that 5000 was per store or systemwide?

With so many speculating on all the reasons CVS is going cash only on precious beans I agree that it's probably and mostly fee related. Maybe another retailer will seek more customer traffic and sign a new deal to bring Serve loading (or their own co-brand) and VR buying via cc to their chain. In the meantime, I'm calling this Vanillagate. It's a conspiracy I tell you! ;)

Agree under normal circumstances, but I just received my AA executive card in the mail today & have to run through $10K which i don't know will be available to do tomorrow at the cash register.

Yeah, it worked out so well for CVS that I am sure retailers will be knocking down the doors to get in on it.

I also need an answer to this.

That might have been me asking. It's 12:00am GMT for CVS's $5k/day limit. But it's 12:00am Eastern time for Serve/BB $1k/day limits.

You know they mean business once the first hard code is reported in CA the twelveth largest economy in the world.

Houston is shutdown.... Just tried. Clerk had no idea till the screen prompted her for cash only.

Need to try the other icecream products instead I guess.
