Similar experience as ZapperO today. Bought $5K around 11:45am at my go-to CVS. Just went again and bought another $5K at 9:06pm using the same drivers license as this morning. No issue - would have been nice to figure out this 8:00 EST loophole before the last day! :)

Yes. 1st of the month. I think it is either midnight ET or midnight CT....but certainly by the time you wake up in the morning on 3/1 you'll have a fresh slate and be able to load a total of $5,000 for April with the normal $1,000/day Blue Bird load limit.

Hit up 4 cvs's today and spend $11,480. None of them had anything posted and I dealt with a couple of my regular cashiers and they didn't make mention of it. I guess I'll find out in the morning on my way to work when I stop and try to buy some vr's if they are going cash only in my area.

Although the 8pm EST/12am GMT is an interesting data point, it doesn't effectively change anything other than planning. Now you can't get beans until 8pm the next day, etc..

I was just able to buy $4k worth at my back up CVS after buying $5k at my primary CVS earlier in the day. The cashier was a new employee and had the manager ring up the transaction. After it was completed, I asked the manager about the change and she had heard nothing about it. She knew all about the MS game and seemed genuinely disturbed about the idea of cash only, admitting that the prepaids pad her store's sales nicely.

It resets at midnight, not a rolling 24 hours.

Bought 7k in DC today. The manager mentioned that they were going to be all cash soon but was not sure on the date.

I got $9500 today thanks to the advice above in the thread about the CVS clock resetting on its daily limit before the stores close at night. I couldn't get the last $500 because there were no more cards.

None of my three stores in Atlanta knew anything about a policy prohibiting credit card purchases. Hopefully it's a regional policy and won't apply here. I guess we'll know in the morning.

Bought $5k at 2215 GMT with my ID, another $5K at 0030 GMT with same ID. I hope it's still alive for a while tomorrow, maybe I can do another $5k before systems refresh.

Gonna do some $999.99 with my remaining CLs.

Well went to a local cvs wife and I picked up the last 3.5k they had, asked if they had more in the back and they said no and that they've been selling like hit cakes today. We asked why and shift manager mentioned tomorrow it's cash only.

This is northern virginia I am talking about.
