Im glad this will be over in a few days. The world is ending mentality is getting old. A guy and his girlfriend asked me how many cards he could get at the store. I said ten as my usual clerk was ringing me up. He then comes back to ask if i heard it was going cash only soon. Said his friend told him and he came to get some
It doesnt matter if it goes cash only or not, regional or nationwide. Just let the speculation end so we can go back to business as usual |
10pm Michigan. Plenty of VRs available. Loaded 1k to Serve via CC, then 3k in VRs with CC. Manager rang me up. Business as usual. No mention of policy change. Hopefully the midwest is spared!

Same here in Cali, loaded up today and loaded Serve, no mention at all. But as the wife says, what the manager knows and what the register knows are two different things. Will find out tonight at midnight - love 24 hour CVS stores!!!

Was there such a rush to get to the store when OD stopped selling VRs? Or did that just happen overnight?
|
Word about OD leaked on a Saturday. By Sunday night, the party was over. But this time around, the reports seem to indicate that the East Coast is getting hit with the storm, but the rest of us may be spared.

It took a couple days to complete the change nationally. People rushed out the last days to stock up - similar to this scenario.

It resets at midnight, not a rolling 24 hours.
Admittedly, this is how I load my Bluebirds - I load them before and after 11pm CST - skip 47 hours and do it again to lower the distribution of my time. |
I'm a complete newbie to MS but could there be a hidden benefit in this possibly being that airlines like United might not devalue miles as often as they have in the past now because not as many people would have the crazy amount of points that they had before? Is this possible or no?

just got home from my last ditch vr run. crazy haul today of 25k. most I ever did in one day on vr. It helps that i have 6 cvs within 5 mile of my house. Morning and evening visits to all six. Two cashiers told me that it was credit card only til midnite after which it was cash only.
very sad to see this ms method bite the dust. |

How are you getting around the $5,000 daily limit?

I wonder how many AA and FRs are going to be triggered based upon people doing sudden bursts of large MS to meet the deadline.
They let me buy thousands worth of VRs, but God forbid I want two donuts. |
