Whats so special about OV over VGC?

Just got shut down in DFW at my fav CVS after being able to buy yesterday....hard coded register.
|
manager proactively advised me today that the party ends 4/4. she cited CC fees as the culprit
|
Looks like it has hit, or is coming to Northern VA today.
Herndon: denied by register. Manager said registers updated last night. Burke: denied by register Fairfax: denied by register Kings Park: cash only by the cashier, didn't actually run it. Cashier told me that someone tried to load a Serve card earlier this AM, and that was rejected too. All previously very reliable stores, and I purchased at each one Monday or Tuesday. Didn't try OV's. |

Good luck. Citi takes forever to post these transactions - there's a good chance they won't actually post until after CVS stops taking CC. I've had them take right at a week before. Sorry, but don't count on the other 5k - consider yourself lucky if you pull it off.

For what it is worth I sent a BB payment to wells fargo cc and the payment posted within 24 hours, freeing up my credit limit even though the CVS transactions are still pending.

Hope you don't plan on using your wells fargo for much longer. Guaranteed shutdown for overpayment. You may get lucky with 1 warning.

Orlando good today but the VR racks are gone
I had to find a hidden stash Expect 4/4 to be the end.. |
I debated posting this because, in my opinion, the arguments on why CVS will stop selling prepaids in most/all locations are just guesses.
But, ignoring that, here goes: I had a conversation with a known manager this AM after getting denied. She stated she was on a conference call this week where they discussed the new prepaid policy. The big driver, according to what she told me, was high fees associated with more people buying VR's with rewards credit cards. Nothing new here. The new bit of info was that an agreement CVS had with "the Vanilla prepaid provider" (assuming this is Incomm) expired 3/31 and a new agreement went into effect. This new agreement charges CVS higher fees, to the point where they can no longer absorb the high reward CC fees. I have no idea if this is true, but just thought I would pass it along for those who enjoy this topic. |

I called them beforehand and explained that VR's were on sale for a limited time only, and I wanted to get more CB. The CSR said she understood, and said she didnt think it would be a problem.

Listen to yourself. Your not even supposed to get cashback for VR period. The CSR clearly doesn't know what she is talking about. It's like comparing them to a cashier at CVS. Half of them tell you one thing and half tell you another. It's already been proven. My friend got shutdown for multiple overpayments. He was greedy and thought he could ACH pull from Bluebird because Wells restores your CL the second you submit a payment from their side. Well all the payments got pulled back a few days later. He had rewards sitting in his account and he asked if he should redeem or not and the CSR said just redeem them when your statement closes in the next day or two. As soon as his statement closed they just closed his account. He has a mortgage with them and everything and they refused to reopen it. He had thousands in rewards sitting in his account but couldn't access to redeem (his own fault but not the point). I also got warned for overpayment even though I never did such a thing as did a few other people. Good luck
