Perhaps, but is it worth finding out? $3.95 would be a pretty stupid reason to have a shoptlifting citation on your record, wouldn't it?

Every now and then I wonder if I am pushing some limit a bit. Then I read/see something like this pic and realize I am nowhere close. Makes me feel better.

How can something be "valueless" and yet have a cost of $3.95????? Also, would you take just one? Probably not.

Been buying VR for a long time at the store name w 3 letters. Today, at my main store, the transaction wouldnt go through bc the computer cash register would not allow it. She said cash only. The cashier flipped the screen around to prove it to me. Is this nationwide or just my store or just my region?

could be your store as i bought one VR this morning with my credit card

Im not condoning "theft" if you want to call the taking of unused VR cards, and if they would go to the trouble to have you arrested and charged, I would imagine it would be a charge of misdemeanor petty theft.

It is amazing that in my area all of the CVS stores are out of the VR cards - except 1. That one store keeps the cards behind the register.

If everyone would stop hiding and stealing the cards there would be plenty for everyone. Stores could keep their inventory system up to date and order when their stock gets low. No hassles for the store - just business as usual. Just what we all want for the long term.

What was on the screen you saw, exactly? once a nice new cashier looked confused at the message on scanning the card, I asked her to accept. She did and it went through.

The more discussion about this more people do, because they are reminded. Reverse psy.....
