When are we going to see the Hitler-bunker video modified for cash only? The video that was made when OD stopped selling these cards was absolutely hilarious!

Seriously, the CVS management folks must be in shock if they are reading this thread. They don't have to track the progress of the roll-out as we are doing it for them.

The usual MS problem is liquidating what you buy. In your case, I suggest an industrial strength food processor, should make quick work of that. Once you've opened all the cans.

Don't forget the float rule of MS. I suggest boiling them in salt water, more buoyancy :D

I've reported cash only (hard-coded) in multiple RI locations. Via Survey, not Map feature.

No go at 5:30 pm EST at my goto CVS in Columbus Ohio. Worked fine yesterday. When the cashier first scanned 10 cards, and tried running my CC, it said alternate form of tender required. She called the mgr. I requested her to split into two transactions and see if that worked. As soon as she scanned second card, message popped on her screen saying"cash only". Mgr was surprised. He mentioned the cash only was supposed to be in effect in 2-3 days but looks like they enforced it now.

Don't believe them. It works. I've been doing it for months. Just don't leak this secret on that blog in your signature.

I have received that "another form of payment" message in the past. That just means the CC got denied by the bank and is flagging it as fraud. If you just got the WF card it could just be WF being cautious after seeing a large purchase. I would strongly suggest you call WF to clarify if it was denied due to your account being flagged for fraud and for them to release it. I am pretty sure when you call that this is going to be the case.

No, that's the great thing about the gorillas - they can liquefy/process beans all by themselves. The end result is a bit messy, but I'm sure an enterprising MSer can come up with a way to convert it to something useful. Maybe some sort of biofuel, to fuel your CVS runs.

Data point - Woburn, Malden and Reading MA - all have now become cash only.
I was impressed by the lady at the Reading CVS who tried it for like 5 mins. She goes " i did it yesterday and it worked". I stood there quietly hoping against hope.....no go!!

I hope folks stop asking store managers about a memo. Don't need to draw any more attention than it is. And for god sakes don't mention you heard internet rumors. Just report whether you were successful with CC and which market you live in.

I find it ironic that one of the "holy grail" rules of MS is not involve talking to store management but yet we seem to be inviting them in with this news.
