Most likely. At least that is what you get when it is fraud blocked. They could always use it for cash only as well. My guess is that they didn't.

Cash only north of Boston (Stoneham, Melrose, Wakefield)

Never knew that Metro Boston is an epicenter of fraud.

CVS Headquarters are in RI, and no reports of cash only from RI

I've reported cash only (hard-coded) in multiple RI locations. Via Survey, not Map feature.

WOW!!! That happened to my AU yesterday! She only bought 500 bux of stuff, but still they said it was not authorized - which is bogus! So, she was transferred and I used my card to do the purchase and it went through fine. I have been slamming the BC and pushed it to the limit and they do not normally say a peep!

You know, what really funny is that I used BC too.

I think I know what happened here. Amex leaned on CVS to stop rewards abuse. They colluded to go cash only, "leak" a memo, and now they will FR anyone who buys 1k+ from CVS from 3/29-4/1. $hit just got real...

Does the Hyman bus still run that route?

Yes, but that's too complex for the average MS and takes too long. I used to spend a lot of time going through the Land Registry looking for old people with property that had greatly appreciated over the years, and opening HELOCs in their names. But then people started complaining that the check should be made out to the property owners, and that the signatures looked "funny" and yada yada, so I stopped.

Makes me know consider if I should switch from BB to Serve now if this holds. But I still have a couple of days first to max out BB first and then BP out before deciding. Would much rather use Serve than BB.

My wife tried to buy a bean at a CVS in Wilmington, DE, today. They told her cash only.

But where you able to buy beans before from this CVS location? Just because they say cash only doesn't mean anything. Each store seems to have their own discretion and can say cash only even if the POS system is not hard coded to be cash only.

Wife just snagged 2 at our go-to CVS in NJ. Hope it stays this way.

Yes. I bought six of them from the same store in March using my Citi AA card. My wife had bought a few using her CSP card.

Successfully bought beans in South Jersey. Goya, dark red kidney beans in a can, low sodium. The cashier told me he didn't know anything about the 5K limit, so I bought 10K worth of beans. I hope the gorilla will eat them.

The usual MS problem is liquidating what you buy. In your case, I suggest an industrial strength food processor, should make quick work of that. Once you've opened all the cans.
