Yeah good thing you gave the uninitiated some help there. The "A/S/T MSA" is perfectly clear.

So far it seems only Boston is solidly 100% cut off from all the reports we have seen. Everywhere else it is still fairly open.

I think we had one report of 1 single downtown location that went through and a central MA location that went through. All other reports are negative out of BOS.

You are being trolled. Just ignore it.

There is a couple of jokers here and it is kinda obvious they are joking if you really pay attention.

The intent is that you don't even have to pay that much attention hence my pointed reference to immediate accrual of interest etc. But that's OK. Deep seriousness, along with a hatred of bloggers and newbies, is clearly an essential part of MS.

Albany/Schenectady/Troy metropolitan statistical area, perhaps?

The issue is not the interest rate but whether your bank charges an upfront fee. Many banks charge 2-4% of the advance upfront, meaning they'll charge $20-$40 per thousand being advanced. That's separate and distinct from the interest charge. So check the terms of your cc's cash advance before going that route.

And speaking of cc pitfalls, may I add: Do NOT use your ccs to pay for Lap Dances at the Gentlemen's Club if there is any possibility that your wife may see your cc statement.

Don't get me wrong I am a fan of trolling and jokes. Fox and the guy who got the manager to commit suicide was hilarious. The cash advance, not so much.

I had to look it up. 518 goes from the NY capital region all the way to the Canadian border. But it includes the cities you mentioned so that must be it.

I found it funny. I am waiting for more people to use ambiguous terms to help us out here.

How are things in the tri-state area?

Anyone with luck finding any beans in Rochester NY area?
Have been to 3 stores since yesterday but not a single one left, well, maybe they were hidden somewhere I did not search hard enough.
Please PM me if you know where has left and willing to share.

Thanks.

Just sent you a private message!

Yes, that well-known triumvirate. After googling 518, most people then get the opportunity to learn that those cities exist, and are near each other.

I love the map! Much more success than failure. So far . . .

I had great luck in the tri-state area on my way to work this morning. It seems like they've lifted the 5k/day limit. Plus, they had a special - buy 10, get 1 free. I racked up.

On the other hand, I had a hard time when I made the drive all the way out to the tri-state area this afternoon. They all said cash only, and threatened to call the police on me for asking about using CC. Apparently they got a much more strictly-worded memo.
