Anyone with luck finding any beans in Rochester NY area?
Have been to 3 stores since yesterday but not a single one left, well, maybe they were hidden somewhere I did not search hard enough.
Please PM me if you know where has left and willing to share.

Thanks.

They received a prompt on screen that said "Is customer in front of you?" to which they clicked "YES".

A follow up prompt then popped up and said "initiate Order 66", that crazy cashier whipped out their blaster pistol and tried to blast me.

I barely escaped with my life.

The great MSer purge is on, we need to retreat to our swamp hideouts.

Better bring your lightsaber next time.

This is a matter of heated dispute on this thread.

Some people swear there is a reset at 12 am GMT, regardless of when the first purchase was made.

Others that it is a full 24 hours after last purchase.

So I guess it's YMMV....

I did more than $5K in the last 24 hours at the same store.

Don't think anyone is posting specific stores that are not cash only. That would be rather annoying for the people who use that location. However posting specific stores that are confirmed cash only would be beneficial given the disparity.

Don't go to MY favorite store, it's cash only. And besides, I hid the remaining VR cards behind the Applebees GCs, so you'll never find them anyway.

Cash Only is fine. I've found a cool work-around! My credit card allows me to do something called "Cash Advance" so I can do that, get the cash and then pay for VRs (and now it sounds like there will be plenty to choose from). So I really still use my credit card and get the VR! I'm surprised that others haven't thought of this.

Quick question.. I bought one of many VR's today. One of them had a status of "Accepted" instead of "Activated". Has anyone had this issue before? I was told it will be activated within 24 hours. I cannot try it before tomorrow unfortunately.

How do I reach a live agent when calling VR 800-number?

They don't really want to talk to you, and make it as hard as possible. Call the CS #, and put in the number of a VR card that has no value left on it. The computer will then transfer your over to a CSR. ;)

Just confirmed, CVS in Washington DC accepts CC payment for gorillas, after scanning your id, signing a waiver, and scanning your retna. cashier said their fingerprint scanner was busted, so she just took my picture.

Please don't post stuff like this as a joke. Someone may be new and not understand and try this.

Good idea! Do you use the ATM machine in the CVS itself, or others? ;)

Lets map this rather than having everyone reporting stuff via this thread with 100s of field reports.

That way we can see visually what is happening in different areas and everyone can than plan accordingly. I just built a Google Form that is tied to a map that allows you to easily see the status of when/where the results of attempted purchases at CVS nationwide. I'll update the map hourly while I'm awake and more frequently during busy times when we got a lot of new data in.

Here's the 5 second form with just three fields (date/time, result, location): http://bit.ly/CVSsurvey

Here's where the you can view the map: http://bit.ly/CVSmap_v2

I got shotdown on Winter Street around 1pm (we must have just missed each other Mike). Did not get Alternate Payment Required on Winter St but instead the cashier's screen told her "C031 Tender Type Not Valid." The consumer facing screen where you swipe your card did not display any error message.

CVS master thread

It's always been a full 24 hours for me. If I am there a minute early, the transaction will not go through.

Just bought more in md. The cashier said I'll try it but it is going to cash soon. He followed up with: lots of Asian people buy these for some reason"

I wondered the same thing, but I saw a VERSION of the email at a store yesterday in So. Cal. By version, I mean the letter was from the same individual, with the exception that the date was effective 3/27/14 and was highlighted in red. The Asst. manager was able to sell one to a customer earlier in the day, but got into trouble with the store manager. No budging. She mentioned they were a high risk store for fraud, so that could support the only certain stores theory.
