Well, this is unfortunate seeing as though I activated the AmEx 5% threshold. It's too bad that I'm traveling this weekend too. If the hammer is about to drop, I wish I could go in with one final push.

Yeah I'm going balls deep today, my wife hates doing this. But she's going in for 5k the next 2 days whether she likes it or not

I hate jumping on the paranoia bandwagon when it comes to cvs going cash only on VRs, but has anyone in the ny area heard from their local shops about these changes? I'd hate to have to go load up this month, but I may not have a choice if this new policy is a national thing.

You'll have to use the miles and points toward a nice trip for her then. Mine doesn't even like getting the "your reload has been successful" e-mails to her Bluebird account. I don't think I can convince her to make an actual CVS purchase. :D

Other reports (Serve reloading): NYC area

It might be regional? For example just like when the driver's license scans weren't working in one part of the country they were in another. Probably PA/NJ are included in this one too.

CVS PrePaids Going Cash Only after 3/31

Is it true? I'm running around Atlanta now getting as many VRs as possible and am hearing things about it being cash only soon!

I completely missed it. I'm too in shock over the prospect of CVS going cash only.

I'm also in shock that something unusual is happening on APRIL FOOLS DAY...

Just went to my local shop and bought 3k. Asked two cashiers about this change to cash only and neither of them had heard about it and said as far as they know that's not the case.

Well asking cashiers vs. the store manager is not the same thing. Store managers will get the corporate memo and that memo has to be flowed down to the cashiers. The cashiers are the last to know about this so I wouldn't assume that what envoy245 is saying is totally wrong. Besides it isn't 3/31 yet so we don't know. Hopefully its not true.
