If that happened to me, I'd go to the DMV and get a new license perhaps with a different DL number.

After all, the black list must be very explicit (e.g. Blacking driver license number).

I sometimes use my handgun carry permit (state issued ID) just to mix it up.

P.s. I wonder if CVS will take a US Passport for identification. I know they can't scan it, but it's supposed to be much stronger than a DL.

I don't think they use just a number as the unique identifier. I tried using both my driver license and state ID (different numbers while everything else being exactly the same) and that didn't work to get around the daily limit.

Yes, I'm not doing anything illegal, it's within their limits set up by them, I'm following their limits.

Is there a reason why you think you may be banned by CVS? How much have you been buying per month?
I ask because I had a chat with a CVS district level manager once who told me that they can add up all the amount that anyone spent at CVS (even without a DL scan (for those who keep it <1K per transaction)). The manager also hinted at some vague 'internal limits' at CVS about how much the corporate will let someone buy. I do not know if the district manager was just BSing.

First month buying VR's ever, using different CC's, same DL though...

Hey if you have like five cvs in your area and buy $999 a day in each one every day and never give id or cvs number and no issues happen to make them think ill of you, i cant see how cvs would ever know how many you have bought.

Something tells me the above story w being shut out of cvs is missing some details here.

I'm not looking to go to five CVS a day, would be over an hour of driving to each of them, was hoping to just load up and leave and come back to the same one the next day.
Not details are missing, but feel free to ask any questions you have.

If I'm not mistaken the DL issued in FL are based off your personal info, like my year of birth is in it.

So went to my CVS yesterday to load my Serve. The cashier (ask too much questions, lazy, I always tries to avoid) was working. I already walked out the previous 2 days because she was working. So I didn't want to leave and come back. I went up to load my Serve. She said,"what's the difference from the CC and this Serve card? Could you do the same thing on the CC?" I said,"the difference is that I can pay bills with the Serve card". Finished my transaction and left.

Today went back to the CVS to load the same Serve card again. New cashier. Said,"hhm. I don't know how to load this". I began to give her the instructions. She didn't really want to listen, and asked another cashier. She tries to hide the screen from my view too. The cashier didn't know how either. They then went to ask the other cashier in the break room. That cashier came out and said,"oh hi". I taught this cashier before, and she's one of my favorite cashier at the store. She processed my Serve, and showed the other cashier how to do it. So far I showed 2 cashiers at this store how to load Serve, and the listen/learned. This one today, was an exception. I was being nice about it too. Did make it sound like I am a know it all.

Oh well.

When I was in school I spent a summer working as a bank teller. You would not believe the things that customers would try to rip off the bank and get money they were not entitled to. Granted as a bank teller I was dealing with massive amounts of money, but I can understand if a cashier doesn't want to listen to a customer's instructions on how to do a transaction. I wouldn't worry about it if a cashier seems skeptical of your intentions, since its their job on the line.

Buffball what happened to you could be a glitch and not a blacklist, as same thing happened to me a couple of days ago at one store. I tried again the next day at another store with same DL and bought 5k just fine. Keep us posted though.

That should be fine, and shouldn't raise any red flags. But again, it really depends on your store policies. Some CVS stores say it's policy not to take CC at all, some say you can have a max of $500/day, etc.

But, if your store lets you buy $1k without an issue, it would be extremely unlikely for your CC company to hassle you about it.
