Interesting.

Did you try to load more than $500? If you could load $1000 for $4.95 that is better than VR.

Agree - never had this bit of weirdness happen. I assume it is a one-off.

Me ; "No it's not, lets stop this game, and ring me up."
CVS clerks says, "No, honest it's cash only."
Me, "yeah right, handed her 4 VR's (all they had left) said $500 on all of them."
CVS; rang the first one up, then second one, handed her my ID and informed her to swipe my ID, she did and scanned the rest of the cards.

After this was over, I asked her about the "corp policy" walked out with a smile on my face....

Need 5K more for this last card, will be trying for a 4th AA Exce card mid April..

I know people can obtain more than one card. Have people actually had the miles to post in their account from their subsequent cards? I've already had a statement cycle with mine and have not seen any miles yet, although I seem to remember reading that it can take awhile to post.

Very interesting. if $1,000 doesn't work, T&C of Emerald technically says $999.99 is max per day.

I'm maxed out on Emeralds for a while, but if someone could test, this may work out very well and also skirt the $1k DL swipe.

It depends. I think that the max that you can have in your acct at any time is $10k. However, that would mean either 2 months of loading or loading via other methods, check/direct deposit/etc. If you are like most people, you are only doing the $5k/month in VR and MAYBE $1k/month with miles earning debit. Then you would have $6k. You can split that $6k however you like. Whether it's $6k all to bill pay or $4.5k to checking acct and $1.5k to BP. Whatever the case may be.

Just a warning: some people though think that this may be a flag in the future - constantly withdrawing directly into your bank acct. It's however all pure speculation and I don't think anyone has heard of shutdowns yet.

However, is there a perk to transferring to your bank acct? Remember that the $5k you used to pay the VRs? Well that amount is still due so just pay it off via BB. If you don't want to do a straight $5k to that acct, then either 1-break it up amongst payments on different days or 2-use BB to pay other bills too such as house, utilities, student loans, and so forth.

I was just looking for a way to spend more than $5,000 on VR's per month using BB. W/ this method I should be able to do just that. $5k to bank acct, 5k to BP

You cannot load more than $5000 of VR to your BB in any calendar month. Usage of multiple methods to withdraw does not affect this number.

As I just return from purchasing $8k in beans heh. I guess I'll have to hold onto these before I can load them into BB. Calendar month meaning the start of each month correct?

I also received the message that I have exceeded $5K and to come back tomorrow. I didn't buy any today. I did buy $5K yesterday.

24 hrs rolling limit for 5k.

My local CVS just went to cash only, one per day. Found this out after I had to rummage through the gift card looking for hidden beans. Oh the irony! Was told by supervisor that they switched to cash only because of scams. Scams??? Here's an idea, ask to see ID! Fortunately I was able to pick up $3K at another CVS 10 minutes away. Gotta love Jersey. Hope this isn't a growing trend though.

Bought at 8:18 AM yesterday. Tried at 11:30 AM today. Other people said they got the same message today. Anybody able to buy beans today?

Just tried again tonight and it worked. May have been a system problem in the morning or it isn't a perfect 24 hours.
