There have been rumors of this since it started.

There's no logistical problem with holding onto VRs. They don't seem to have an expiration date.

There are a few risks to doing so, however:
1. You could lose the card, or it could get thrown away. Money gone.
2. If the card was tampered with and somebody took the number, the longer you wait to reload your card, the harder it will be to get the money back.
3. You'll have to float all that money in the meantime.

If those don't worry you, then go ahead and do it. It shouldn't pose a problem.

Wording of clerk suggested 3/30 is the last day for credit.

For those giving the heads up, where are you located? State would even be helpful.

I would go and try myself, but I'm not getting back until tomorrow afternoon.

Not sure why CVS would start on 3/31 vs. 4/1. 3/31 is still part of Q1 so I would think they would want to start with a fresh quarter which Q2 starts on 4/1.

So far the reports have all been along the east coast.

Still not a good sign though if its true. I mean its very easy to make this memo nationwide with a click of an email.

It's possible that's when their point of sale software updates.

And by "reports", he means three people all with low post counts. Calm down everyone, this is an April Fool's joke, either by the posters or the CVS employees.
