I am extremely sad that this is ending, as I was doing $15k of these a month and printing up to 63k+ miles by paying a fee of $118.50.

On the other hand, this is also a huge relief as it's one thing less on my mind.

Why would you migrate to Serve? Serve is actually worse than BB with this news.

I will. Those that have a wally world near them will probably stick w bb since visa and master gc are still available in abundance w cc (not necessarily at cvs).

I feel you. I literally got everyone on my wife's family side to sign up last month and was ready for record point/money months since I have a 20k limit on Blue Cash - that 1k a month would have offset the fees for another 50-60k.. Sad days - at least at that high level. I'll probably do gift cards for 10k a month, more if necessary for credit cards, but I don't have the daily trips into walmart in me..

Just started loading up my BB for the final time. God this is depressing.

So am I to gather that this affects paypal and green dot as well? The original memo showed that all of them can't be bought with a CC anymore...

How are you getting 4x miles on VRs?

Green Dot has always been hardcoded at CVS. You could occasionally buy GD at Wrongade but that was intermittent, cashier dependent.

oh, go fluff your fetus:D. It is all the overexposure (arrows, circles, etc.) on blogs and way to many people doing MS that barely understand what they are doing. I am hoping that this will weed alot of the gapers out of the game so some of the other methods last awhile longer

That's what you believe without proof. There are many other possibilities, including FetusFluffer's claim.

VR was a great, scalable tool. Although I never really milked it I'm glad tens of thousands of people used it to make minimum spend. Suddenly that $5k or $10k minimum spend limit didn't seem so daunting. Also don't forget that many people used it as a way to get cheap cash advances, or as alternative to balance transfers to max out 0% interest deals for new credit cards. Although I will try to get a few more before the week is up I'm happy it lasted as long as it did, and that it hopefully opened people to the variety of products at virtually every chain store to meet minimum spend requirements, if not continually milk due to high multipliers on select cards.

If you get less than 3x out of your spend or MS, well then, let's just say you're not maximizing opportunities.

Easy come, easy go. Like all MS stuff, it's on to the next thing. We did get a bunch of nights at Starwood properties for our trip to China real cheap off VRs.

How'd you find the exact date? The cashiers told you? I'm trying to figure out the date in my area, to see if I need to go way out of my way earlier in the week, or wait it out a few days and risk it being dead.

VR is the same way at RA, correct? It's all cashier dependent? I've been turned down a couple times, but have heard stories of success.

As a side note, does anybody ever buy 5k of reloads, and then imagine a slow motion scene where CVS blows up behind you as you walk out the door? or is it just me?
:D

I do but its more like people dance and worship the ground i walk on as i walk out in slow mo
