Are they separate transaction you are doing? If you do more than 500 then they will scan your ID so nothing to fear...

Single CC swipe. I could do 500 + 499, its breaking the 1k plane that triggers the scan. I don't care about the scan, except for system issues.
Why are you leaving 99cents on the table?:p |
I do 2*495 or 2*496 to have my transactions look more pleasing (<1k), to myself at least :)

Today I got in line behind a guy who purchased eight VRs, all for $24.95 each. In cash.
As dirty as I felt watching him do it, I also felt like thanking him. These are the people that make selling VRs at CVS profitable. |

There must be some logic to it. Eight different cards for opening eight different dating profiles for prostitution or phishing scams? One sucker would recoup your investment big time.
Good thing I had a Square reader to empty the balances. Sure, I paid ~3%, but... |

Wow that takes me back. Over the summer I found a stack of Vanilla GC's in the parking lot of a strip club (I wasn't visiting, the strip club was on the same street as Walmart). The cards all had $10-$25 left on them, after dozens and dozens of Backpage.com transactions. Now of course the cards might have been left there by a carpenter who posted ads in the jobs/trades/labor sections, but...

This CVS is bad enough already. It's the same location where I've seen used pregnancy test kits attempted to be returned on two different occasions, and a fist fight break out between a self described pimp and his two female "friends" in the snack isle. A few days ago a guy opened up a shampoo bottle in the store and started lathering up, no water, while continuing to shop.

No need for hand sanitizer - that sticky stuff left on the gift cards was probably just the glue that holds them inside the packaging. :D

It's like two blocks over from my office, so convenience. And they've never had any objections to my purchases. Like I said, my wacky purchases are actually considered normal.
I do have a couple of CVS stores I'm not enthused about going into myself . |

There's not a single reason I could come up with that would justify purchasing individual $24.95 reloads vs. grouping them together to save on costs. So I'll be using my US Airways card until I get the 25K spend on it, which will be the middle of Dec. As you can see I rotate depending on what bonus's I get, for for 2014, I'll use my United Card first until the 25K spend happens, then my US card, then I'll switch between my CSP and my Amex SPG card. But of course if I go out for more cards, I'll do the spend on them first.. But my two go to cards are are the CSP and SPG cards. |
CVS now $1k/day?
I read somewhere that people tend to avoid fidelity amex...why is that? At 2%, one is still netting $12/1k purchase. Gonna hit VRs soon and I don't have any 5x cards to use. I've got ritz, marriott, fidelity, hyatt, Hilton, delta cards. All my min spend is done, so just looking for a good card to use. W
