you mean rates of approx $195 at the wynn +

Upgrade on arrival to the next room category, subject to availability
A $30 per person breakfast credit per day (max 2 in-room guests)
Early check-in and late check-out, subject to availability
Complimentary passes for up to 2 in-room guests once per stay to the Fitness Center & Spa ($60-$80 value)
+ $100 F/B credit (2 night min)

isn't a generous offer?

standard benefits = standard benefits, and wynn/encore rates can be closer to $100.

this thread was started post lehman. vegas started going downhill a year earlier, after subprimes.

wynn giving 2 free nights to plat/cent was certainly different. but wynn has not repeated the parlor promos (2 that i saw) of late last summer. there was one other recent change (not discount) at wynn, but im sworn to secrecy.

skylofts and mansion are so small they dont have the same rate pressures.

the 3 upcoming projects i mentioned total ~13K rooms, scheduled from Q4 to Q1.

after 2 price drops, aria's published rates are starting to look more reasonable

Previous threads have discussed how resorts in Tucson (Arizona) often do not measure up to the level of luxury found at some of their peer properties up the road in Phoenix/Scottsdale. However, just in case anyone finds themselves heading to the Sonoran Desert this summer, here are some deals featured in a recent local newspaper article:

Hilton El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort
Rates start at $150 and offers a $100 resort credit for every night a guest stays.

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort
Extended summer stay package that allows guests who stay Friday and Saturday nights a checkout time of 6 p.m. Sunday. Between noon and 6 p.m. on Sunday those guests get 50 percent off golf and spa treatments.

Omni Tucson National Golf Resort & Spa
A package that starts at a rate of $109 includes a dollar-for-dollar match — the money guests spend on their room will be matched with a resort credit that can be used for golf, at the spa or for dining.

Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa
This summer, rooms will start at $119, as opposed to $139, where they've started in the past. That price will be available into early September. The Westin also has a golf package for $169, which includes a room and unlimited golf.

Westward Look Resort
The resort's "sizzling summer staycation" package starts at $89 per night and includes breakfast for two adults and two children.

Encore has now opened up their 2 bedroom apartments and 3 bedroom duplex apartments for booking. They show up online but don't list as available. You have to call in to get the rates and/or book them. I was told these are the rates:

2 bedroom apartment (3,475 sq ft) - $1400 on every available date
3 bedroom duplex apartment (5,829 sq ft) - $3500 on weekdays/$5000 on weekends

They are both showing to be available on a weekend that I'm looking at traveling to Vegas (Sep 17-21). The agent told me that most weekdays are available but weekends have very limited availability as they are typically reserved by casino hosts for their guests.

mctrees02, thanks for the 2BR price. ^ hadnt heard that. but did hear the same thing from another person. one thing they pointed out re 2BR vs 3BR duplex is that the duplexes are all towards the top, whereas you could get stuck on a very low floor with a 2BR.

first wynn dropped rates. then he opened these up. ^ (maybe not penthouse though - the top floor 3BR duplex?) so the only non-bookable accommodations at wynn (or in vegas for that matter) are the apartment villas and ground floor fairway villas at wynn.

I'd be very surprised if this unit went to a non-casino customer since it requires passage through the private Sky Casino to access.

I have a suggestion - because I am starting to get too many email specials to post them all here (today for example - off the top of my head - I got email offers from Trump NY - Bellagio - and a stay 2/get 1 night free offer at Fouquet's Barriere (Paris) through LHW. I can only imagine what travel agents are getting!

Anyway - most of these offers have special internet codes - limited dates (some are around for only a few days) - limited availability - etc. - etc. So my suggestion is if you're interested in a particular place - hotel - chain - airline (like for a mileage run) - sign up to get these emails (if you haven't already done so - I suspect a lot of you have). Perhaps you'll get an offer you can't refuse in your email . Robyn

Some very low rates and full board deals have been loaded on the Carlisle Bay website. www.carlisle-bay.com

I haven't had time to look at them all properly yet, but they seem to run right up to 18 December.

either full board or 6th/7th free. unfortunately doesnt combine like parrot cay for example. although parrot cay didnt do full board for 2BR+. carlisle bay and amanyara (only 7th nt free) do.
