That Hong Kong address is right next to the IC. That site has been under construction for what seems like a decade. At one point they stopped work, mowed the whole thing down and restarted. When I was there earlier this year they were just doing the first floor. I hope it opens on time, but would not be a bit surprised if it was severely delayed.

Raffles Beijing rebranded as NUO Hotel Beijing
See:

Here's another interesting info about this change of brands, which could affect other brands too in China:

Beijing’s five-star, Chinese-owned NUO Hotels welcomed a second location to its growing portfolio. The hotelier has officially taken over Raffles Beijing Hotel.
NUO opened its first hotel last year with ambitions to alter China’s luxury hotel landscape. Run by state-owned Beijing Tourism Group (BTG) and developed in conjunction with Kempinski Hotels, NUO calls itself one of China’s first “homegrown five-star hotel brands” and a symbol of the “Chinese Dream.”

BTG’s replacement of Raffles with NUO essentially means a shift back to the Chinese brand, and it’s possible this changeover could eventually take place with BTG’s other international hotel companies. According to its website, BTG currently operates a handful of other foreign four- and five-star international brands in China, including Banyan Tree Sanya in Hainan and The Aman at Summer Palace in Beijing.

FS heading to Puerto Rico:
http://www.caribjournal.com/2016/12/...d-puerto-rico/
FS also announces their first European ski/mountain resort:
http://theluxuryeditor.com/news/1601
Rosewood to add its fifth property in Mexico:
"
The addition was announced at ILTM and when the hotel opens in 2019, the resort in Riviera Nayarit, 30 minutes from Puerto Vallarta international airport, will be the group’s fifth property in the country."
https://www.ttgmedia.com/luxury/luxu...ico-hotel-8303
Also, Rosewood's parent company bought the stalled Baha Mar project in the Bahamas. I'm assuming the Rosewood Baha Mar property is back on?
Rosewood also launches a wellness spa brand:
http://www.breakingtravelnews.com/ne...aya-spa-brand/
Bermuda approved the proposed St. Regis property in St. George's. I also didn't realize that the Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand is building a property in Bermuda as well.
Ritz-Carlton to return to Sydney. Between Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, and now, Sydney, Ritz-Carlton is really returning to Australia in a big way.

Cheers & Safe Travels. ^
In Malaysia, The Datai Langkawi is set to begin an extensive renovation starting September 4. The management is working with interior designer Didier Lefort of DL2A, which—along with Australian architect Kerry Hill—was responsible for the original designs of the property that opened in 1993.
The redesign will include renovations to the resort’s guestrooms, suites and villas; construction of a nature center; additional spa pavilions; a refreshed retail space; a fitness center by the beach; as well as an overall enhancement of the landscaping.
While the renovation is in progress, the Datai Langkawi will be closed for approximately 10 months. The upgrades are scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2018.

Bulgari’s executive vice president Silvio Ursini said to Gulf Business that the room rates will be “by far the highest in the market”.
