That's exceptionally short if you have to recheck luggage, otherwise, it's just tight. Is this all one PNR?

Yes it is under one PNR. I'm told it is a "legal" transfer.

The MCT is 45 minutes at MUC for a transfer between terminals. It's about a 10 minute walk between terminals, there is a bus service to connect which I think keeps you airside, but it only runs every 20 minutes. I would be concerned about any additional security for a flight to TLV.

Just to keep my nerves calm!

Hi folks, trolled through the thread and looks like we'll be fine, but figured that i'd be happy donning a flamesuit, just to be sure .

This August, we'll be travelling on the below itin (single ticket, M&M Reward, both of us don't have any *A status):

LH1713 (ZAG-MUC) dep1320, arr1425 (Citylink)
LH1910 (MUC-VCE) dep1520, arr 1625 (Air Dolomoti)

Since Croatia doesn't become a member state of the EU till 2013, presume that we'd have to go through the below
a) Bus to terminal
b) Passport control (Indian passport holders - will have multiple entry Schengen visas)
c) Security

We will have bags checked in - guessing that those clear customs at VCE.

Biggest concern is that in case of a mis-connect , the next flight is over 6 hours later (much rather get that evening in VCE!)

And, being unable to spend any time in MUC, if all goes well any place at T2 to snuck in authentic Bavarian beer in these 55 minutes?

What you are saying is correct; except the sequence is a), c), b).

There will not be much time left for a beer ....

Order is a, b, c - at least for Russia, and I don't think there is any difference for Croatia. From I level passengers connecting to Schengen are actually goes with terminating passengers and end up before general security

Hello everyone,
I am flying next week from EWR to MUC and then onto BUD. The connection time in Munich is 1 hour. Now, based on what I read in previous posts, I am pretty sure I will make my connection, but my question is will my checked luggage get on the flight to Budapest with me? Thanks.

Welcome to FT, truhali!

MUC has an excellent baggage handling system. If you can make the connection so can your baggage.

Thanks so much, this is good news :-) One more thing: do I have to claim my luggage in MUC and re-check it or it goes all the way to the end? Thanks,

You can check your luggage in EWR all the way to BUD. There's no need to claim it in MUC just to re-check it as you have to do in US airports.

MUC is an excellent airport for connecting passengers, but I have bad experiences for connecting luggage. On through LH/LH connections OSL-MUC-XXX (one to NCE on mainline LH, one to VCE on Air Dolomiti) with one hour connection time at MUC, LH/MUC have managed to misconnect my luggage, something I have not experienced at any other German airpot, including FRA

Thanks to all who responded to others' questions!

FT community is awesome! I read the thread and got the information I needed from your replies. I am now comfortable with my 45-minute connection MUC to IST. Plus, there are 3 LH MUC-IST flights after mine so any delay shouldn't be an issue. Now I can relax and start thinking about how much I will enjoy the trip to Turkey!

Hello all, we have a cnx in MUC in about 2 weeks. Our itinerary is EWR-BRU-MUC-SOF. All on one PNR, it's a UA ticket with UA metal to BRU, the rest is LH metal.

Will we be OK with a 50 minute connection in MUC on this itinerary? I'm assuming since we will have cleared EU in BRU the arrival into MUC will in essence be considered domestic, right?
