Haven't connected through MUC in a long time, so any feedback is appreciated....

- Min connection time
- Walk or take a shuttle bus/tram between terminals
- Location of Delta counter in case of problems (I will check in online)

Thanks!
I would recommend to walk as well. If all on one ticket, 1h 40 min is fine but doesn't leave a whole lot of time for irrops....

Why don't you just drive to DUS from FMO (roughly 1,5h) and take the DUS-ATL nonstop! (DL)

I'm coming in from KRK at 8am and depart to LHR at about 11am on LH2474 (Class C) . I'm debating taking an earlier flight out to spend more time in VAA Club House (LHR-LAX), but I was interested in seeing LH remolded lounge w/ a beer garden.

Is it worth the 3hr layover in MUC or spend more time in LHR (3 vs 5hr layover at LHR, seems that club house has a lot to offer)?

I'd take the longer layover in MUC any day over LHR.. regardless of what the club house has..

Is LHR really that bad? I've never touched down there, I've also never heard anything good about LHR either...

Is there a security check to connect from an H gate to another H gate?

Hello everybody,

I'll be connecting in MUC next week, coming from CLT and on to OTP. I've been looking at the flight status the past few days, and the flight from CLT arrives to an H gate and the one to OTP leaves from an H gate. In this case, since it is a non-Schengen to non-Schengen connection, I don't have to clear immigration. My question is: do I have to pass through a security check?

Thank you.

Arrivals from the US do not need to go through security before a connecting flight in MUC.

Hello!

I'm flying IAD->MUC->ARN in July (both flights are LH). The IAD-MUC flight just got changed such that the connection time is now 45 minutes. Is this okay? I'm in F on IAD->MUC and C on MUC->ARN -- will there be an agent to help me out?

(There's another flight to ARN a few hours later. I guess my only concern is -- if I need to get re-booked to this flight, what are the chances of there not being any seats available?)

Thanks. :-)

I'm booking a flight for my familyto Germany next summer. I'm looking at a flight from IAD to MUN on United connecting to HAM on Lufthansa. The lay-over in Munich is 1 hour, 15 minutes. From the postings I have read, the connection time seems adequate. The United flight arrives at an H gate. Has anyone had experience with this connection? Will we have to go through passport control and security?

The HAM flight will leave from the G gates which is one level below the H level where you UA flight will arrive. Since you are arriving from the USA you should not need to go through security in MUC. You need however to go through passport control. Shouldn't take you more than 15-20 minutes from disembarking at H to be at G gates. MUC is a great airport, enjoy your trip.

Welcome to FlyerTalk.

Should be an easy connection. Yes, you will go through passport in Munich. I don't think there is a security check.

And Munich's code is MUC.

Thanks William S and will2288 for your responses. Sounds like Munich is a great airport for incoming international flights.
