Question for the experts...this is my first time travelling to Europe (excited!)...
Will be going from YYZ-MUC-BUD on AC846 and AC9032/LH1676?
AC846 lands around 10:05a and AC9032 departs at 11:10a. Travelling on a canadian passport - would this be a tight connection?
Are there any concerns or precautions I should take to prepare for this?
Thanks in advance for any insight/advice!

Connection fco-muc-iad-msy
Have a 75 min connection at muc. Arriving lh fco-muc operated by dolomiti, connecting to ua issued/metal to iad.
1. Labor strike - any issues w/ dolomiti team or is it really just lh equipment that is having a problem?
2. Is 75 mins enough time and what do i expect by way of passport control coming frpm fco heading to iad?
3. Any easy or otherwise way to squeeze a vat refund intonthe 75 mins connection time at muc?
Thanks very much in advance for helpful replies.

1. none, EN is not part of the strike,
2. enough time, quick passport control as you climb from level G to level H.
3. If you are trying to export goods in your handluggage there is a customs office on level H past immigration that will stamp the documents if you can show the goods. Doesn't take more than 5 min. If you are exporting the goods in your checked luggage, customs certification must be done in Rome @:-)

Later this year I am flying, along with one companion, PHL-MUC-AMS. First flight is J on US, second is Y on LH. Based on the imcoming flight in business, do we get lounge access in MUC? I get access with my *G, but my brother is meeting us in MUC and flying with us from MUC-AMS, with all flights in Y. I want to guest him into the lounge, and for this to work, my companion must be able to get in on her own. Will this work?

Guys, just want to confirm the stemps for my connection:
Will be arriving at 18:40 from KBP (non-Schengen) and will have 70 minutes to connect to TXL (Schengen). I know that we will for sure need to clear immigration at MUC (is there a separate line for connecting pax or do we clear with terminating passengers? How bad are the lines?) But will we also need to clear security?
I'm a newly minted *Gold, and I was wondering if we have time to at least take a quick look at the lounge.
Thank you very much in advance!

70 minutes is plenty of time (see 40 minutes, above). The (non-existant) lines are not the problem at that hour. The problem with KBP is that you have to clear security and last time I did this you had to take a bus to the terminal and then it was a long walk down the entire terminal to the security check and then a long walk all the way back to my connecting gate. There were 3 people in the security line but the passport lines were equally short.
With any luck maybe you will get a better arrival/departure gate, no bus and then some time in the lounge. But not a given.

I am flying through Munich on Dec 26 2013 and have a few questions:
My itin:
- Dec 25-26: YUL-FRA (AC874)
- Dec 26: 08:00-09:05: FRA-MUC (LH100).
- Dec 26: 20:05 departure from MUC-JNB (SA265).
Since I want to leave the airport, do I have to go through immigration/customs when I land / leave the airport?
Can I leave a carry-on bag in a locker on the departure gates side?
How much time does it take to go into the city to visit a bit, have a good lunch (restaurant recommendations?) and be back in time to for the departing flight? Would people suggest a taxi or train?
I am in J-class and a shower in the lounge prior to the long-haul to JNB will most likely be in the cards too!
thanks!

Yes, at the Service Centre. An average carry on is €4,50 to leave for 24 hours.
It takes about 45 minutes by train to the city centre. Either S1 or S8 to Karlsplatz (Stachus) will get you right into the centre. Get a day-ticket, it will cover any journeys within Munich you might want to take. A taxi will be very expensive. You'll then be a few steps from the Augustiner Großgaststätten which will give you a hearty lunch and a decent beer.
