Do award nights count toward:
- “Qualifying Nights” total?
- “Milestone Rewards”?
- “Brand Explorer” tally?
- Quarterly promotions?

Thank you.
The answer is yes. Actually, all nights for which you are the registered guest, and that you pay using points, cash, nights certificates will count towards ALL the counts for your WOH profile.

As a globalist do I understand correctly that if you book a standard room on the website or app then when it comes time to check in or possibly before you are sometimes upgraded on the app? And if it is a good upgrade you might consider checking in immediately and if not then ask at the hotel at check in if a better upgrade was available?

Shows up all the time, IME day-of check-in.

Can't hurt to ask if something higher is available - not all of them are Standard Suites though.

Has anyone been assessed an early check in fee as a Globalist? I'm asking because I haven't until yesterday, I thought early check-in was a benefit lol

I presume you did not stay at a HP. I believe it is only offered at HP

Hyatt Place to offer early check-in to Globalists & Explorists

The terms for priority check-in mention 9am and nothing about it only be at a HP. Not sure how they can legally even charge it since it wasn't mentioned at check-in. They never said oh that's an extra cost they just put me in the room.

My spouse and I both have two free night award certs through the WOH card that don't expire until Dec 2022. I've tried to book several Cat 1-4 properties I've booked awards in the past like the Grand Hyatt Seoul and Hyatt Centric Waikiki using the award finder search and just normally searching using points.

I've found available rooms on points (15,000) but it says I don't have enough points to book. It used to be that the system would detect my free night awards and apply them in lieu of the 15,000 points required. Is there something I'm doing wrong or do I have to call Hyatt to book these?

Using the app you can only book Free Night awards one night at a time. One option will say:
Standard Room Free Night
from 15,000 points/night

and the one you want will say:
Standard Room Free Night
Free Night

some hotels offer the Py My Way feature, then you can book multiple nights using different „rates“

World of Hyatt’s new “Pay My Way” feature

Also I read what other's have posted but if anyone has more articles etc to read on maximizing globalist I would really appreciate it and take up less time of your than asking these questions. Once your 30th night posts on Hyatt.com, you are a Globalist. If that night 30 is part of a longer stay that includes night 31, 32, etc. - you become Globalist when that stay is done & posts.

Check out One Mile At A Time's latest post on Hyatt/Globalist to get the full sense
