P2 has Hyatt status from the Chase credit card. How can P2 give me, a globalist, some FNCs?

Would I get my globalist benefits from P2's FNCs?

Who would get the elite night credit?

P2 can book the free nights in your name and you'll get Glob benes and stay credit.

Can P2 (Explorist) make point rez in P1(Globalist) name so P1 can get glob benefits? I know P2 can gift points but thinking a straight rez might be easier.

Just do a points transfer. Much easier.

I would advise a points transfer also, it usually doesn't take more than 72 hours. You can even contact you concierge for a insufficient points confirmed reservation if you need to so it's booked while you wait on the transfer. I do think it would work however.

Yes, P2 can book a reservation in P1's name and WoH number over the phone or via twitter team. This is instant if done over the phone and usually within minutes using twitter.

Two newbie questions (I think I've only ever stayed at a Hyatt once before but may have a couple of stays coming up):

1. Do points bookings count as a stay as far as status qualification is concerned?

2. Is the "stay at five different Hyatt brands, get one night free" challenge restricted to a 12-month period or is it lifetime?

Yes, stays booked using Free Night Awards (either points or the various certificates) count as Tier Qualifying Nights.

2. Is the "stay at five different Hyatt brands, get one night free" challenge restricted to a 12-month period or is it lifetime?
It is lifetime. Currently, one can earn up to 3 5-Brand Free Night Awards as one stays at additional groups of 5 different brands.

Thanks so much, all. Sounds like a points transfer is easier, but good to know options!

I'm kind of old school, but I just love that building. It's amazing. If you need to park a rental car, or go to a meeting on the other side of town or something, go elsewhere, but that hotel always makes me feel happy by just walking in.

Hey everyone - long time HH Diamond here, but I'm really dis-satisfied with the direction Hilton and HHonors seem to be heading as we ride further into 2021. I've scrolled around in the WoH forum and this thread, and I haven't seen any posts about Covid-era service reductions becoming a permanent thing at Hyatt properties, where both Hilton and Marriott execs are all on record saying they will make cuts in service a permanent thing. I've been hitting up a bunch of Hyatt properties in the last few weeks, and I like what I get for the money and my time. Just curious to know what the experiences of you long-time WoH folks has been these past few months? Same types of services as before the pandemic - less, more, better worse? Example: is there still a hot breakfast in Hotel A, or does it now offer pre packed stuff, but had a nice breakfast going on before Covid? That kind of thing.

No wrong answers here, just looking for data. Thanks in advance

there is a discussion here on the breakfast topic

Is Hyatt trying to erode the value of the Full Globalist Breakfast Benefit?

Do I need to call and confirm parking is free then?
Actually, the big difference using a FNC is that you can't add on a suite upgrade certificate. This is why I'm contacting hotels (I have 9 nights to burn) and asking if I can pay an upcharge.
