Same here. They must be making some site modifications to prepare for the BIG spring promotion!

Website - I must really, really love Hyatt

My tolerance for a horribly spotty website is evidence of how well the Hyatt loyalty program works.

I do not think there is any other service I would use that has this unreliable a website.

There are competitors with 100 times faster, better, and more reliable websites, and yet I still book Hyatt (and then wander to FT to vent about it).

That is true love.

Glad I am not the only one who has seen it crash--terrible web site. Back to the old days of phoning in requests to the diamond line.

Hyatt asked me to do a survey on the website the other day. Wow, I ripped into them for such a crappy website that is in stark comparison to the great service their hotels provide.

just like the love of our lives we take the good AND the bad, eh? If they can beef up their web strategy the same way they have flourished with their Twitter service, the company will be unbeatable.

Hyatt's webiste is sh****! With the German version it is even worse: Most of the time I need to manually enter my data despite the fact that I am logged in!

The website is terrible. I was matched last May, to Diamond. The rep said that I could have it til Feb 2012, and the website reflected that. One day, I logged on, and bam. Status til 2011. Today is my last day of Diamond. However, I still love the Hyatt program and am staying with them. I just think it was a little ridiculous that they wouldn't hold for their mistake. Oh well.

The last time I took the website survey, a year or two ago, it didn't even provide that opportunity to make free-form comments. It seemed like all the questions and responses were designed to put the site in a good light. Since then, I have declined those occasional requests to take the survey.

Right on the money, HoustonConsultant ! ^

Could not agree more.

Braniff in the early 1980's probably had a better website...

It is hard to fathom that a company, that does so many things right, can have an IT function this bad. But I am hooked on Hyatt as well. Have 8-10 reservations on the books right now...and about half of those took a website struggle to get done.

The saga of Hyatt's terrible website continues as I can't make a reservation now. This is the message I get:

"Our online reservation system is currently unavailable. Please try your request again later."
