Booked a room last night on points plus cash. No change to the cash price today.
6 weeks ago the standard rate was 16,000 points + Ł48 this then increased around the time of the announcements to a higher cash cost.
Cost was 16,000 + Ł55.20
Today they want 16,000 + Ł109.92
This is a massive change.
Sure, I can find similar cash plus points but this is only on much cheaper room rates where I would probably not use points.
Very disappointed with Hilton changes.
Please feel free to report your findings.

Until the system is back up and running, I wouldn't sweat it. Points rates have flickered in and out over the past few hours at various random price points, but usually nothing is available.
Lets see if things are good, bad or similar when it is back up.

Old points and money was generally the best value Hilton redemption. New points and money is going to be the same, relatively poor value all the time.

If you have made previous reservations prior to today check them! I cleared my account prior to todays changing and all my reservations on full points have changed and had a cash component added.
eg-: I made a standard rewards redemption for Tallin Hilton and Helsinki Hilton, at 30,000 points they have now been changed to 30,000 points plus 27 euros.
Conrad Hong Kong changed from 70,000 points to 70,000 points plus 302 HKD. Ive tried calling HH but they refuse to honor the initial rates, is this not breach of contract?

Looking now and seeing some positives. E.g. Conrad Tokyo for 76,000 midweek in March.
C+P looks horrible. Taking it off best flexible rate. This is atleast comparing some booking I made before the 'devaluation'.

There are some positives on pure points reservations. I'm seeing London Bankside at 34k some nights etc.
Points and cash has well and truly had a number done on it though. I was sceptical when it was announced. From the twenty or so hotels I've checked there is no value whatsoever in combining points and money.

It looks like the with the cash and points element now being dynamic. at lower category properties in particular, the cash element has gone up in price except at the very lowest rates. For Gatwick, the cheaper rates for upcoming dates are still coming in at 12,000 + Ł55.35, so it doesn't look like a positive change.
The upside is that the rates for full points are definitely lower and in line with cash rates. The ceiling cost is still there as before, but there are definitely discounts on pricing that are also dynamically linked to the rates, which mean lower rates are available. These appear to be tied in to BAR rather than sale or advanced rates from first checks. Will do some more digging though.

Hopefully this is the case, but as the IT update only happened a few hours ago, I will give them a chance to get things fixed and confirmed properly.
Also as an update, if you go to replicate these reservations, the cash charges do not show. Clearly an error on what is shown for existing reservations rather than a new charge.

Have had the same hit my accounts. I have just made a quick call to the European call centre who have confirmed that the cash elements are not chargeable and that they think the system is adding them in error. It has already been reported to Hilton IT to look in to it.

Waldorf Astoria Berlin in late April was coming up at 2 million points for one of the higher-end room types!!! (which I wasn't going to choose anyway, but I don't think I've ever seen a number so high!)
It was 50,000 yesterday and now coming up at 160,000-190,000. A little ridiculous really though it might be due to different room availability as this is coming up as a "Premium" award rather than a Standard award (and when clicking through, it comes up as suites).
We'll see if it changes and if things settle down.

Same happened to me. Funny thing is one of the reservations was using a free night cert, rate due in my account is now showing as AED240 + 60,000 points!
