Current and historical promotions

This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.

The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.

Feel free to discuss alterations to the format in the thread below.

Do not delete historical posts.

Indeed I noticed nested 2x Oulu trips a week apart 😜😂 add a HEL-ARN nested between 10-15 to get 6 segments into a day

or does AY frown on nested tickets could be a intresting "project"

I'm not sure they can afford to frown - "if you don't like it, I can always take SK or DY"

I am indeed taking the SK route not because I dont like AY but just a total lack of imagination on AYs part on the promotions route and pricing.

But I could see myself doing something crazy like HEL-OUL-HEL-ARN-HEL-OUL-HEL in a day 10 times 😄😄😄

For the sport of it if nothing else

I guess they've already taken their revenge on us all collectively by abandoning checking luggage and pax to final destination.

But seriously, I doubt most airline staff understand the concept or even care.

From AY Plus mail I had today (in Finnish):

Ansaitse lennoista 2 000 lisäpistettä
Rekisteröitymisaika: 24.–28.11.2016. Sinun tulee rekisteröityä ennen lentoasi. Vain uudet varaukset aikavälillä 24.–28.11.2016 oikeuttavat lisäpisteisiin. Matkustusaika: 25.11.2016–31.3.2017.
It's about rules of 2000 extra points and says all new reservations made 24-28NOV.

These prices from Sweden, also considering the current SEK exchange rate, are quite good. HKG under 15k SEK in Business, for example. https://www.finnair.com/se/se/member-offers

I thought of becoming rich...

but terms and conditions

You can only earn extra points for one short-haul flight and one long-haul flight during the campaign period.

One important distinction from the T&C this time:
You can only earn extra points for one short-haul flight and one long-haul flight during the campaign period.
If this is the new standard one can't help but thinking they are working hard to make these points promos less attractive for the FT'er.

Other details about this promo (in order to keep a record on FT once the AY pages are gone):
  • 2000 points for one short-haul flight, 5000 points for one long-haul flight.
  • Registration period: 29 November–30 December 2016. You must register before your flight. Only new reservations made between 29 November–30 December 2016 are eligible for extra points.
  • Travel period: 15 December 2016–31 July 2017.
  • Eligible booking classes: All.
  • Eligible routes: All.

At least they clearly say it already in the title: "Book flights and get up to 7,000 extra points"

15% off of all pre-orders for flights during December. I wonder if this can be combined with the 10% tier discount?

You can also register via other countries, though it was not advertized on the last AY+ mail, e.g.: https://www.finnair.com/fi/gb/thank-you

EDIT: Terms say it's restricted to CZ. Website is over-eager and writes down the country which you selected in the URL, but I guess this won't work from Finland anyway.
