Current and historical promotions
This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.
The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.
Feel free to discuss alterations to the format in the thread below.
Do not delete historical posts.

SMT is this: https://www.smt.fi/en
I wonder if that account is affected in anyway when created through this? Like would it be tagged forever to be "created through SMT" or something.

Suunto promotion september results published
So they published the september results and despite my 31 moves and approx 90km no luck and I'm out of the promo. This has been the worst mileage-run for me ever!
It is still extremely tilted towards domestic winners so I guess the promo still hasn't got enough attention worldwide. The Finn-qouta fell (82,4% of points went to Finns compared to 88,8% last months) but this is only due to one Belgian winner getting 224k points. In number of winners, 13 of 15 were from Finland, the Finn-qouta is 86,6% (86,2% last month).
Two changes this month:
1. They handed out much fewer points this time, and to much fewer participants. Only 15 winners this month, compared to 29 winners last months. The average number of points won raised from 77k to 120k. So more high-rollers are now winning. I think this is a downside to this promo construct. Normally you'd want a lot of winners to make many feel they gained something from the promo. IMO, they should have done it in a way that let a few highrollers win and a lot of low-rollers too.
2. Finnair stopped publish the city of each winner making the analysis more difficult. We can't really see if the same runner is winning again. But at least we can tell that the runner who seemed to win both in july and august didn't win in september.

By the way, the promo-rules says
so they are actively cheating on their own rules, with only 1,8M points handed out this period.
After each running period, a total of 2,500,000 Finnair Plus award points will be awarded to the lucky winners.

Not really a promotion, but there's a competition in Finnair's finnish FB pages (https://www.facebook.com/finnairsuomi/): "Comment on what you value most on a A350 long-haul flight and get a possibility to win business class long-haul flights to Asia for two".

Now available on their swedish FB page too.
I noticed that any comment is a valid entry, which makes the competition open also for those with less than overwhelming attitude towards Finnair A350...

The Swedes must have their own pool of tickets? Chances of winning should be a lot higher over on that side, as there's probably less people commenting. Finnish pages are now at 3,9K of comments.
There's functionality to prevent access to multiple country-specific fb pages. I get redirected back to the Finnish pages even when accessing https://www.facebook.com/finnairsverige.
EDIT: You can switch between country specific pages from More -> Switch region at the top of the page. The rules say that I they can cancel the prize if they see any dishonesty or if they think you weren't eligible to participate (or other reasons). I wouldn't gamble in commenting in both pages..

We really don't know if they will pull just one winner and post that name on all the separate FB pages or if there indeed are one price per country. But I doesn't hurt to try.
Personally, I was tought that if you have nothing nice to say you should talk at all, so I have a hard time coming up with a contribution... :-D
