Current and historical promotions

This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.

The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.

Feel free to discuss alterations to the format in the thread below.

Do not delete historical posts.

Not too clever. For the 3x points I'd have unearthed my DC card - now I continue using AX (being relatively AY+ points rich makes AX more intresting for the time being)

Nice but:

Eligible routes: all flights departing from Stockholm, Gothenburg, Umeå, Oslo, Copenhagen and Billund.
All flights must be marketed by Finnair (AY code on the ticket) and operated by either Finnair or Norra.
The Finnair Plus member’s primary mailing address must be in Sweden, Norway or Denmark.
Can I move into your house for a while ?

Yes, added that info.
Also, the text is formulated as if this is valid only for one trip but it doesn't say so in the T&C. So YMMV.

Another thing is that is says strictly Finnair or Norra, so I am unsure if "AirBerlin for Finnair" is valid for promotion.

Another funny thing is that the promotion started 29 sept but was only just now pushed to the targeted customers!

Those are AY marketed, only cockpit crew and aircraft from AB.

Yes, but what airline is technically operating the flights?
All flights must be marketed by Finnair (AY code on the ticket) and operated by either Finnair or Norra.

Now I considered this campaign again and it's quite poor.

AY (operated and marketed) from Scandi destinations are only about 1000 points so this offer makes with Value ticket 1000*3 = 3000 points instead of 1000. =2000 extra. And only for Nordic residents of outside Finland.

But of course nice if flying to Helsinki from Nordic destination anyways.

Small correction: W is not in. So W-passenger must live without 500 extra award points.

It seems that Finnair has ended selling flights in Stockmann's Hullut Päivät (Galna Dagar). I quickly browsed through the catalog but couldn't find Finnair section at all. Or is it usually advertised separately?

Which is a good thing, selling airline tickets only at the Stockmann venues was totally retarded thing and belonged to the 80's anyway ^

You are right. You had to go to store to use Finnair website to buy tickets. @:-) Ridiculous.

I wonder who paid who AY selling tickets in Stockmann during Galna Dagar.

The Stockmann Hullut Päivät flight sale started as a cooperation between Stockmann and SK/KF. I believe that was during the years when KF tried flying to European destinations like BRU and AMS from HEL. The cooperation didn't last long, though, and Stockmann started cooperating with AY. In the first few years, the offers were really good compared to what kind of flight sales AY did on their own. On the mornings when JFK or PVG came on sale, the lines in the department stores were HUGE.

In the past few years, however, AY flight sales have been more or less on par with the Hullut Päivät prices so there is no need to wait for Hullut Päivät or to go to a physical department store. Of course, it is clever of AY to have a sale going on during Hullut Päivät anyway, so practically we can think of it as Hullut Päivät bookable from the convenience of the home.

I've made several bookings at Stockmann. In the old days, I went there in the morning to book a longhaul at a desirable price. Lately, I've just popped in in the evening and booked Euro flights on the computers (without any wait) if the dates I wanted were available. Availability was usually very good.
