Current and historical promotions
This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.
The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.

The competition period is 28 November–31 December 2016. The raffle includes two prizes, each of which will be Finnair marketed and operated Economy Class return flights for four people to Rovaniemi via Helsinki during 2017. Flights are only available from airports that Finnair flies to. Accommodation and other travel arrangements are not included in the prize.

The TATL double points is until jan-17. I already picked some good J points roundtrip, and now considering another one. Or, I WAS considering a lousy AA economy love, but then saw the terms:
The marketing carrier must be Finnair (the ticket must have an AY flight number).
Offer applies to:
Flights marketed and operated by Finnair: J, C, D, I, Y, B, H, K, M, P, T, V, L, N, S, Q, O, Z, R, A, W and G booking classes.

Talking of it, you guys who know better how to utilize the OW codeshare routings, for example JFK makes most sense to buy AY biz as it gives flat 8000p*200%, while codeshare through LHR gives less. But then, is there clever routings via far-away transfers in U.S. to JFK which would give miles according to distance? Ex: Ay-coded HEL-LHR-XXX-JFK

Historic promos
Just a couple of historic promos if there is interest in adding them, to see how regularly these come up (like clockwork every year at same time, random, something in between?):
1 - Double points on HEL-SVO, was valid from 18th Feb-30th Sept (probably one off as was a 60 years of HEL-SVO anniversary)
2 - Reduced points cost of classic award flights - 30000 and 15000 instead of 39000 and 19000. (And was actually more of a deal then as Europe was 44000 not the 39000 it changed to in April 2016). Would be very interested in knowing if this is yearly!

One important distinction from the T&C this time:
If this is the new standard one can't help but thinking they are working hard to make these points promos less attractive for the FT'er.

- Registration period: 29 November–30 December 2016. You must register before your flight. Only new reservations made between 29 November–30 December 2016 are eligible for extra points.
- Travel period: 15 December 2016–31 July 2017.
- Eligible booking classes: All.
- Eligible routes: All.
According to an e-mail I received today the registration period is now until Jan 9.
But when I follow the link it leads to a registration page that confirms Jan 9, but inside the square where to register the AY+ number it says registration period ends Dec 15...

Not sure if anyone is getting these bonus points if their address is registered in Finland, as it changed at one point to make it clear eligibility was for those not in Finland only? I registered anyway, but unless the bonus points are much slower than flight ones, looks like I didn't get them for a SH flight on the 4th Jan...

This year I've got points out of 3-4 of these promos and this has been the case on all of these occasions.
