I'm sure that the loads to Dakar will soar, but I wonder if this leads to a frequency/aircraft upgrade to Dakar or rather a new destination to the route that attracts the most transfer pax (from Emirates via DKR; for instance Bamako).

Only in a positive way, as Emirates is establishing Senegal airlines

As a result HKG gets 2 Daily A380 service during this period.

Excellent!! I'm glad to see EK has done extremely very well. Why EK will have 2 A380 out of DXB-BKK-HKG & DXB-HKG nonstop? I dont think ever 2 A380 is already served to HKG. Only 1 A380 should have enough for now. I think DXB-BKK-HKG will downgrading from A380 to 77W aircraft.

I don't know, I travel on a monthly basis on the 384/385 between DXB and BKK and the flights are always complete fully booked. ( good for the free upgrades from business to first class ^ )
I don't know what the load is between BKK and HKG but between BKK and DXB it is almost 100%.

Wow! Unbelievable!! Always 100% percents full for everyday. That's lots of the passengers capacity on entire A380. I do believe those routes should be done extremely performance very well. Do they have any new A380 routes from DXB lately? I do knows where EK will expected 3 more A380 delivery in 3rd & 4th quarters 2011.

Yes there are destinations in Africa, Americas, Asia and elsewhere on the short list for the 2011/12 operating plan. But they are not all guaranteed to start as the plan gets revised as demand dictates. A number of of countries you mentioned are in the long term plan. As for Baku - i don't think it will feature in the 2011/12 operating plan.

According to this thread, EK380/381 will now be an A380 through to March 1st.

Yes that is correct that EK380/381 will now operate with A380 equipment through to 1 Mar, but be warned that as soon as approval is received it will be switched to EK302/303 DXB-PVG-DXB.

Thread Clean-Up

I was hoping after a few gentle reminders this thread would right itself, so to speak.

Obviously not. It continued to drift off-topic, included personal attacks, racial generalisations and a whole lot of coaching from the sidelines.

I have reviewed each and every post and deleted/edited as appropriate. It is now I believe, strictly on topic and it is where it will stay. Please.

Algiers

Hi everybody

This is my first message :-) I am particularly interested in Algiers since my wife is Algerian... Is there any update on when Emirates would start to fly to Algiers ?

Regards.

Oceania

Emirates777 are there plans to increase flights to Oceania or to introduce a couple of new routes (Adelaide, Nadi, ...)?

Not aware of anything for the 2011/12 operating plan however long term these destinations will eventually join the network.

Emirates777 thanks for answering my question regards STN a few pages back.

Latest email from Tim Clark states significant expansion into North and South America over the next 2-3 years. It doesn't state any specific destinations but a good guide as to the direction the company is going in.
