Plenty of new markets for Emirates A380s.

Why they didn't have to orders another 30 more totals of 120 A380. I thought EK has already previously announced to another 30 A380 is already on ordered.

at least the french are sane regarding extra Emirates flights, I hope India and Germany will follow suit-which will heap pressure on Canada as well to eventually allow further flights by UAE airlines headed by Emirates.

That is a massive reduciton in capacity from daily 330, 3x 772 and 4x 77W in summer 09 to only daily 330 this coming summer!

The economic crisis in Greece must be affecting yields and loads but at the same time, QR will be flying double daily to ATH this summer and EY once daily. The competition must surely also be impacting route performance.

Interesting times!

Emirates777,

is Vienna or any other european destination on the list for an A380 during 2011?

thank you in advance!

Update to the 2010/11 operating plan

Effective 1 March 2011

EK733/734 DXB-KRT-DXB frequency reduction from Daily to 3x weekly (flights operating Wed, Fri, Sun) still using 3-class A330-200.

Another update to the 2011/12 operating plan

Effective 28 March 2011

JED will upgrade from 12x weekly to Double Daily

Additional flights on Wednesday and Saturday operated by A340-300 on EK803/804.

RUH will upgrade from 12x weekly to Double Daily

Additional flights on Monday and Saturday operated by A330-200 (3-class) on EK815/816.

What will actually end up happening is that the current temporary flights will convert to full time year round flights.

Effective 1 Feb 2011

Flight number change: EK3807/3808 now operates as EK807/808 DXB-MED-DXB.

The next Emirates outstation lounge to be opened will be in SFO by April.

More interesting developments ahead....stay tuned.

EK036/035

Hi! The NCL - DXB - NCL route (flight EK 035/036) is due to be upgraded from an Airbus 330-200 - can anyone tell me when that is likely to be? Their schedule - right up to December this year still shows the old aircraft.
Many thanks.

Thanks ft101 - so I wonder what 'delayed' means?

No, does not have enough aircraft availability yet. I think you have wait to see if there is enough aircraft available to come online in 3rd Quarter & 4 Quarter 2011. I wasn't ensure EK is considering to brings A380 to ZRH or MUC.

The A380 could be deployed on one or two new European destinations or even to existing A380 destinations to beef up capacity during the 2011/12 operating but VIE is not among them.

380 to South America

emirates 777 or other knowledgeable folks:

Is the A380 technically capable of doing nonstop to GRU? If so any chance of such a deployment next year?
