Give me a day or so to see how we might make this easier for everyone.

I've just heard from a local emirates staffer that the website article I quoted was blantantly untrue, I have asked them for a rejoiner stating such from the media section of the Emirates airlines. will see.

When viewing the topics page click the 'new thread' button. Saves you only posting in this topic. ^

Ok, PM me and I will walk you thru it. I am nearly finished a "getting started on FT" document which I will post for everyone. But I've been drinking heavily and eating a lot of cheese, so not sure how useful it will be :)

Easy....

First, click the following link :-

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/emira...-skywards-490/

Then click 'New Thread' at the top of the page.

Cheers,

under which heading do you click to find "make new thread"? :)
FYI there is no *new thread* at the top of your page. still no one has ventured to give a genuinely accurate step by step start a new thread info. :(

Umm, yes there is. What's this in the top left then? Step 1 - Open the EK forum. Step 2 - click on "New Thread".

I went by the invitation of a FT member 'ung1' to http://i56.tinypic.com/28lqexz.png. then I wondered why is your sticky "read this first: everything you need to know about emirates and skywards" closed to all who try to click on it? others are closed also. why?

Stickies are a form of public announcement, which are created by Moderators (and no one else). To allow posting to the sticky would be distracting - as its main purpose is to provide content and data to the FT community, specifically the EK audience in this instance.

Everyone is welcome to send questions/concerns and suggested additions to the sticky via email or PM to me anytime.

Sometimes, stickies are "unstuck", when they have served their purpose.

by this you wish to say no one can read anything about emirates and skywards? that's makes a laughing stock of your sticky! you might as well not even posted it if no one can read it!

Everyone can read all the linked stuff. You seem to be the only one unable to read the posts or to start a new thread. I'm afraid there's no step by step guide to common sense. And I'm afraid you're the only one becoming a laughing stock here.

bvms, you need to send me a PM if you are still struggling with the basics of posting to/reading/or using FT and I will walk you through it. Please do not question a moderator decision in the open forum.

It might also pay to visit the "help" section on FT - at the very top of the page, drop down until you see the FAQ section. That will explain a lot of the basic functions.

Stickies can be read by everyone on FT. It's just that no one can reply to or add to them. It's that simple.

And to the EK regulars - take a deep breath...
