cart_top, welcome to FT! It's really nice to finally see EK crew here, and I hope you will continue to participate in the discussions on this forum!
I remember reading that JED was getting a second A380 service in Feb. Perhaps they will start a service to a long haul destination at the same time, where the cycle down time is enough to operate this additional rotation. I wonder if JNB, NRT or some UK destination are possibilities. The 4th SIN service will definitely be interesting. I couldn't think of anywhere except DPS that wouldn't require back tracking. Perhaps Brunei maybe? ETA: In fact EK has a country manager for Singapore and Brunei even though they don't have any flights to Brunei at present. So maybe something's up? FYI - I previously even asked the EK offices at the airport at CGK (Jakarta) in 2009, and the office staff told me that EK has an agreement for the last 10 years to fly from CGK to DPS as both are international airports. only the lack of air frames maybe holding this up. I'm hoping that is the mysterious destination. |

EK seems to be dropping BKK HKG service on A380 and going back to direct BKK 372 ! for next month.
Any news about the plane that was damaged in YYZ ? Here you go.... http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo....main/5003881/ Im sure they are using the BKK/HKG 380 as a replacement for YYZ. Looks like the loads are better on YYZ until that bird gets its wing repaired. |
@ emirates777...according to my knowledge, CPT's runway is not A380 ready and there are no plans in the pipeline as of yet to accommodate the A380

Hi and welcome to our forum!
As far as I know, the reason for which Emirates doesn't serve Warsaw is a kerosene monopoly at the airport. @Emirates777: Is there a new American (US) destination to be announced this year? |
Hi
According to rumours on the flight deck weve already signed the deal for ticket counters and Office space in MIA from March onwards. That of course doesnt say anything about the actual start date. Regards 777pilot |
