It is at the moment, but it's being extended (supposedly next year).

However, there are only 2 class services into BHX at the moment, and all the new A380's are 3 class.

Emirates is operating the A380 to Athens as a one-off on 26 October 2012 as follows:


EK105 DXB0855 – 1250ATH 388
EK106 ATH1640 – 2205DXB 388

Due to the political situation DXB-DAM is reduced to 4 weekly

Yup, sure it is. Only 1-time A380 to ATH. Let's see what happens. IF they does it very well. EK will becomes daily A380 service.

Looking at the economic situation in Greece I doubt it very much EK will offer a daily A380 to ATH in the near future.

Still many tourists are taking advantage of cheap holidays in Greece, not to mention there are alot of Greeks that living/working in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South America, etc, etc.

They're economy is still better than Thailand, Indonesia, and so on, and so on.

Surely, I hope so. THey will consider it. I'm so glad to hear the economy is improving. It will take a while to recovery.

GDP, growth and population size is bigger in Thailand and Indonesia.

I don't see the A380 returning on a regular basis to ATH. At least looking at the capacity cuts that European airlines did to Athens.

I've heard rumors that Emirates is considering to fly to MIA. What's the possibility that it can come. And when? Late this year. Or in 2013??
