Are you sure? Where did you hear this? I don't have a source of this.

Wasn't that announced a while back? BOS is an interesting development, haven't heard of that before.

BOS, ORD and MIA were supposedly in line for EK service, so it doesn't come out of the blue, if it is true. BOS may well be a preemptive move to counter QR's supposed plan for a DOH BOS route with B787 in the same way as EK countered EY with the IAD announcement.

Now all they need to do is get to ATL, MIA and ORD and they will have the US pretty much covered!

I must have missed it - just noticed the recent news story on the website.

Yes, they already previously announced last month. They will have more than 1,000 passengers capacity out of DXB-JFK. I would considered EK will have third flight for DXB-JFK and I think they will put on entire 77W aircraft. If second flight will be successful. They will able adds third daily for DXB-JFK.

I can't see EK add both BOS and MIA in the same year. Although 3 new US destinations were started in 2012, two of those were compensated by the loss of one daily frequency each to IAH and LAX.

If BOS comes online, then I feel MIA and ORD may be postponed for another year.

EK is reinstating EK955/956 to/from BEY starting 1NOV
EK955 DXB-BEY 2235 0020 (+1) Su, M, T, Th
EK956 BEY-DXB 0140 0650 M, T, W, F

The outbound flight connects well with the late afternoon/evening arrivals. The red-eye inbound works well with connections to Australasia departures. Equipment is A332 in 3 classes.

To me it is excellent news as I would be able to connect to the MEL (and SYD) A380 flights. Also for those who travel within Lebanon it means getting to/from the airport when roads are clear (if no tyres are burning). For those who live in the UAE that works a treat now because they can leave for BEY at the end of the working week.

Good to see EK bring this flight back.
