Gonna try to order a pizza tonight, which seems like a popular trend here. Probably opt for Sicilian style all meat with mushrooms, less anyone here makes a fuss on how I've forgotten the veggies, yet again. I prefer slices served on a plate with a thin coating of olive oil & balsomic vinegar sprinkled and sprinkled with Parmigiano Reggiano on top. Not proud of this, but I do prefer utensils with pizza.

all this pizza talk is fun but I had leftover pizza as my Saturday luncheon!!
Be proud of your utterly twisted and depraved method of consuming pizza. I bet that you also use utensils with cookies and candy bars :-)

I have a sensitivity to bell pepper so none for me but it's Mr. CE's favorite pizza. Though he's still looking for a favorite spot to deliver it in Rogers Park. We've tried JP Alberto's a couple times and struck out. We love Union but they don't deliver and R Public House is now only doing pizza Thursday-Sunday. So suggestions are welcome.

My family wants carryout chinese so I mentally sighed and decided that I’ll never be able to cook restaurant chow mein and eggplant requires too much time and energy. I’ll get myself some other dishes in future carryout ordering. Winter (even if 65) blues, I suppose!
Veggie moo shoo with extra pancakes
Crab Rangoon
Eric’s chow mein
Kung pao chicken
eggplant with spicy garlic sauce
2 / white rice (my spouse won’t let me cook rice! Argh!!)
since 1991... I first went there in 1994 with my fun-loving friends.

Something called an "Italian Club Sandwich" for luncheon. I picked it up at the supermarket. Actually wasn't too bad for what it was.
Mmmmm....luncheon!

i really haven’t been able to properly cook the dishes we had and they were indeed delicious!
absence indeed makes the heart grow fonder.
future carryout desires:
other Chinese food
fried chicken bucket (The front Porch)
memphis minnie’s bbq (brisket and sides - not pork ribs or pulled pork)
sushi
At least I’m not craving carryout pizza, shellfish, Indian, or pasta...

Growing up, my grandmother wasn't thrilled with the practice and felt that bread shouldn't be something dipped in olive oil (most of us these days on FT probably find extra virgin olive oil quite affordable), and probably felt it was a little wasteful. But, I've always felt the oil & balsamic mixture was fantastic for the pizza crust. Hence, my preference for the Sicilian style where the toppingless and cheeseless portion of the pie is minimized.
One of these days, I'm going to try and prepare her spaghetti carbonara recipe, and hope I don't turn the sauce into scrambled eggs, again.

Homemade chicken and vegetable soup. Diced chicken thighs, zucchini, onion, carrot, celery, green beans, potatoes, chicken broth, herbs de Provence. Served with Southern style biscuits and cheap wine ( referred to around here as “Chateau Outhouse” ).

You buy sandwiches when you can just buy the ingredients and make them at home plus other take out. For some reason you seem to think that the only reason to go to a restaurant is because you can't make the food at home. You would be cooking for hours & need tons of ingredients if you tried to make 4 different Chinese dishes at home.

I ran out of white rice to cook today for Dakila, so I stopped by my regular Chinese Restaurant and a side order was $2.50 tax included.

When I order Chinese Take Out, White Rice is free with all main dishes, so I just get it even though I order Pork Fried Rice w/o scallions and onions.
