I missed the discussion on this, but instead of buying 3 buck chuck (which is barely palatable) use white vermouth. Vermouth is just white wine with herbs. It's slightly higher alcohol content, so it lasts a bit longer once opened. Keep it in the fridge and the bottle will last at least a few months.

Don't buy the cheapest vermouth (Gallo or Martini/Rossi), which is about as good as cooking wine. Buy a good vermouth, like Noilly Prat or Dolin.

If you need red wine to cook with, I suppose you could do 3 buck chuck...but a cheap zinfandel is probably better. Bogle Old Vines Zin is usually around $8-10.

I'm not, although I do normally eschew Trader Joe's. That was fun, not a word I use very often .
Mariano's naan is perfectly fine (and I don't have to stand in line outdoors in 30 degree weather to get in the store like TJ's). I just don't feel like going out to get it. We already had all the other ingredients here at the house.

We have a new Indian restaurant on the other side of town that has been getting good early reviews, so I may have to use my Amex Uber credit this month to get some good garlic naan delivered soon!

Americana tacos (ground beef on hard shell tacos) with assorted toppings
Cheese quesadilla
fresh homemade guacamole (thanks again to corky & bensyd for the encouragement to just buy & manage avocados instead of buying guacamole)

Not sure of the brand, but we like the naan that Costco carries. Wonderful when you toast it a bit. I think there are 12-16 in a package.

What difference does the size matter if they are tasty?

Lol. I do know baby food. I think it's the way it shines is that confuses me, but the meal looks lovely and more importantly tasty and that's all that matters.

Now, tonight we had tandoori lamb cutlets and a salad with feta. I did the lamb over coal. (my neighbour told me it was a total fire ban day but I told him it wasn't).
