I'm exhausted from working the polls yesterday and then working my full-time job today, so I finally gave in and ordered nachos through DoorDash.

On another (cheap shopper) forum I participate in, I was given that smart answer in reply to a question about cheap fresh turkeys. There are reportedly urban flocks in Toronto and Ottawa (their range is nowhere near where I am though).

Yesterday's lunch (and tonight's dinner). Lard rti or roasted side pork belly. Been trying to figure how to make it since coming across it in Brittany 8 or so years ago. The French recipes I've been finding and using online (it seems largely unknown to the French who are not Bretons) haven;t worked too well if at all.

Ended up using this recipe that ironically came from my local mainstream paper.

With different spicing (apparently garlic and Chinese five spice), the cooking technique can be easily used for making Cantonese roast pork.

Gorgeous! Love how this works for different cultural cuisines.

Havent seen you mention ice cream in quite some time. Not eating it, or just leaving it off your lists?
