OK I think I get it like a glazed baked salmon type thing but cut into cubes. Doesn't sound too bad. Might be to do on the BBQ. Maybe there's an idea!

Yes, but since it is in cubes all sides get the coating so not sure how to do that--grill basket, maybe? Plus it is smoked....so it is smoky and sweet. Honestly, it was good but not sure I would get it again. I think maybe I am not a big fan of cold salmon (except lox).

Bought ~5Kg/11 lb of pork back ribs (4 racks) the other day. On sale for ~C$/5 lb but marked down 30% with a 20% rebate on the balance. Brined, dry rubbed and then smoked on the originally-USD 3,500 grill I bought for C$300 at a thrift shop before baking in the oven. Enough dinner for 4 days..

Tonight's dinner was a lamb biryani -- delicious!!!

A month or so ago I recounted the story of Mr. CE (who has an insatiable sweet tooth) telling me that I couldn't bring food into the house without him finding it, and me responding by telling him there had been Jeni's ice cream int he house for weeks and he didn't realize it. Tonight after dinner he appeared with a bowl of Jeni's Gooey Butter Cake ice cream, and a smug "see, I found it" look. And once again I had to break it to him that the pint had been in the house for weeks. He's not as good at sniffing out my hidden sweets stashes as he thinks he is. My dessert: Trader Joe's frambois macaron cake. Pretty good!

Lol...and let's face it. There aren't a lot of places for one to hide ice cream.
Speaking of ice cream...I really, really have to stop buying that Private Selection stuff. It is SO good. I bought Sea Salt Carmel Truffle today. Last week it was Brown Butter Bourbon Truffle.

Over the weekend, I picked up two quarts of ice cream. I left them at a friend's house, because I didn't have room in the freezer. I now have room in the freezer, and really want my ice cream!

Went to get my favorite take out Chinese restaurant, House of Chang, in NMB.

Garlic Eggplant w/ Beef along with Pork Fried Rice, both sans scallions. A lot cheaper since I didn't buy Bayani's favorite Roasted Pork Slices.

Second serving as I was too hungry to snap a picture

We have a side-by-side fridge/freezer, so I hide it on the bottom shelf, where stuff we rarely use is typically kept. It's his fault for not bending down to look there more closely.
