cheeseburger sliders on roll-ppang - LapLap, I’m forever grateful. I will no longer purchase slider buns and I can use that same dough to make burger buns which I’ll never actually need to do.

leftover Susiecakes ($40 for a 6” cake - that’s something I’m not yet ready to cook)

$40 for a 6" cake? Damn.

Carried out from (one of my favorite restaurants) Roaring Fork in Scottsdale. An appetizer of queso con puerco and chips, eight pieces fried chicken, including mashed potatoes and green chile mac, as well as a side of asparagus, plus two lemondrop huckleberry martinis and a large frozen huckleberry Margarita. Because we had to wait 10 minutes more than we were told, they added another Margarita. The puppy got to the receipt before I could check it, but when I logged on, the charge for all that was only $78! My only complaint - they forgot the peppercorn gravy (which I specially requested) for the mashed potatoes. It's to die for.

susiecakes! Don’t you have them in SoCal?
super yum. Not cheap. Usually I just buy $7 slices but of course they’ve changed their process for getting susiecakes. It’s all online ordering and pickup at specific industrial locations.

Roasted chicken thighs & cherry tomatoes over pasta and leftover susiecakes (carrot cake)

Homemade chicken biryani, using no shop bought sauces etc. - even toasting all the spices etc. The smells preparing it last night were amazing, so I can't wait for this evening to tuck in. The one concession is that we will have shop bought Poppadoms - can't do everything!

Takeout from one of our favorite restaurants:

Shrimp, corn, bacon & Parmesan bisque

Grilled filet of beef over mashed potatoes, roasted mushrooms and wilted spinach and a truffled demi glace

Yes, there is a Susiecakes in MB and I have had them but it would I would never pay that much for either the cake or the slice! Nothing but Bundt also makes good carrot cake btw.
Your pasta dish sounds yummy though!

i just ordered susiecakes for my spouse’s birthday and I’ll fetch it Friday. I still have leftover carrot cake so no cake for me. Also got chocolate chip cookies for our child because he’s not a fan of susiecakes. I like their frosting on their Celebration Cake so much that I’ve eaten it off people’s plates when they return the plate with frosting. It’s just so good. I’ll just eat it while taking their plate. I won’t even do it discretely like George costanza.

thank you for the link. Is sushi rice essential or may I use jasmine rice or Hawaiian rice? I have those two types.

Chicken and eggplant Koresh from a Mediterranean cookbook. The whole house smelled like garlic and cinnamon.
