Wedding banquet at Jubilee Ballroom , Raffles Hotel

Menu - special one sans garlic - unlike the likely more delicious one for others with noodles too

Wedding favours - Singapore kaya and Raffles Hotel pen

Trio

Soup - delicious

The Cod

Wagyu beef

Healthy bok choy

Special fried rice , they forgot the seafood though !

Mushroom bun .. what you see is the dough / pau , -not the mushrooms filling

My favourite .. Yummy !

Heavily stir-fried salmon steaks (hard to explain) on a bed of rice.

Finally tried Mod Pizza tonight. After seeing the process, my hopes were not high at all. Yet, it was surprising good for a super thin crust pie. I won't be rushing back since we have several great pizza options nearby, but I would definitely have it again.

Thanks for the review. Over the weekend, I discovered a Mod Pizza in a shopping mall near me, in the burbs of Philly. Im not very snobbish with most food items however pizza is definitely on my list of snob worthy foods. I give them credit for opening here. Lots of competition.

Red sauce w/extra garlic, mozz, spicy chicken sausage, black olives, mushrooms. Plenty of crushed chili flakes and parm cheese added at the table.

I don't think there is much difference between Mod, Blaze and Fired Pie (the latter being an AZ thing). I really love piling on the toppings for one price.

Taiwanese braised meat rice (lu rou fan)... not too bad, but at regular price, is too expensive. (vs. other dishes)

I prefer piled high toppings as well, but that is the problem with thin crust "wood fired" pizzas. If you don't limit the toppings severely, the pizza is usually a soggy mess. I enjoy the thin crust pizzas sometimes, but have learned to limit the toppings to 2 or 3, and plan on more slices per meal.

I haven’t had that experience. I can still pick the slices up.

One of my all-time favorite taste treats. Butterfish from Roy’s. It looks burnt in the photo, but it was perfection. Sadly, the last Roy's in AZ is closing early next year and there will be only three left on the mainland, two in CA, one in FL, after there once having been 20. All the more reason to go to HI, I guess.
