No pics tonight Chipotle burrito bowl with half steak and half chicken. Accompanied by white rice, fajita veggies, tomato salsa, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and guacamole. Just what the doctor ordered after spending most of the day working in the yard.

I met a buddy for drinks (see the beer thread ) and then we grabbed dinner at Globe Indian (somewhat newish to Lawrence)

Started with the veggie samosas which were delicious

Then I settled on the Chicken Tikka Masala (ordered spicy, though it was pretty mild) with one order of garlic naan and one order of cheese naan.

Yesterday.... curry beef brisket on rice. They gave quite a generous portion of curry sauce so I managed to clear my plate (a lot of places do not). Just wish the curry wasn't so sweet.

Oh look! Taco Tuesday came on Monday in the form of a salad.

Romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, cheddar cheese, Cuban beans, seasoned ground beef, cilantro, sour cream, black olives, busted taco shells.

Charcoal-grilled pork chops (marinated in soy sauce and garlic), charcoal-grilled asparagus, fresh strawberries, hush puppies (found frozen at the grocery, surprisingly good!), milk, homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Soy sauce-braised chicken on a bed of rice (with a hard boiled egg). Side salad of cucumbers, whole olives and tomatoes with an vinaigrette.

I needed some form of comfort food. Ordered pork fried rice, egg rolls, sesame chicken and beef with vegetables. China 1 is just across the highway, about a 1.3 mile roundabout drive. Only nearby Chinese takeout, otherwise, it would China 3 or 4, at best.

Proprietor was extra crabby today. Usually my order is taken by the smart mouthed teenage daughter. I enjoy the banter. She calls me Fred, Larry and Anthony, whatever she feels like. Tonight, she was sleeping in a corner. Must be finals week.

Plain congee (no, not sick) with some century egg and some vegetarian delight (lo han chai.... but can't figure out how to describe it). Some roast pork on the side.
