Tonight we had the last of our homemade pork tamales frozen from last Christmas. Still perfect. Served with a salad of chopped cucumber, halved grape tomatoes, and avocado.

Cod from the grill, green beans from the neighbors garden, mashed potatoes made with leftover tzatziki sauce (about a cup).

Picked up a New Yorker (sandwich), potato pancakes and chicken noodle soup, New York Deli, Torrance, CA:

There was also a turkey sandwich as well as some chocolate cake but moved too slowly to get photos.

They have great Matzo ball soup. How was the sandwich--it looks good.

Agree on the Matzo-ball soup but the consensus in the family is that the matzo balls consume too much volume and leave very little soup and noodles left. So unless someone wants them, we now get just the chicken noodles.

WRT the sandwich - it was good (huge too - still have half of it left).

I'm a fan of spicy (within reason)... but really if you're going to tone it down, at least say so. Kinda defeats the purpose if you say it's going to be spicy and numbing and it isn't.

Chicken shawarma wrap without pickles/radish. Managed to go through half of it. Will probably snack on the rest later tonight during my deployment meeting.

Leftovers from the b mitzvah

Boichik bagels & schmeers
lox

we have tons of leftovers. We gave a bunch to our local friends. I still need to bag up the caraway bagels and put the lox in a proper glass container.
