sushi mambo is literally across the street from Indian Springs! Not even figuratively but literally across the street.
we were in St Helena / Calistoga for the day. Its only 90-120 minutes each way from SF. I also wanted to get English muffins from model bakery. I love the towns near San Francisco - they have fun things and then I can return home.

Shared a chicken kutthu with my dad. It was a tad spicier than I expected but still good. Just wish they would cook it a bit faster. Waited half an hour from order to table.

The July 4th food-fest begins..
Smoked pork spareribs, potato salad, corn on the cob, and watermelon.
Still pretty full from a late lunch, so small portions for me.

Silver label Aussie wagyu hanger - Sous vide then seared. Last time I made these I messed up and overcooked. Made up for it this time.

Frankenstein'ed ramley burger with some leftover ground pork. If I had more, would have tried making a juicy Lucy.
