Mr Gfunk is out of town so last night I decided to get out of the house and go to dinner. I went to the Italian restaurant closest to us, Bar Roma. Couldn't decide what to get and wound up with the pork chop. What I didn't realize is that it was a LOT of meat and a little starch and no veggies. I was really hungry and ate the whole thing!

12 oz bone-in pork chop, crispy polenta, spicy Italian sausage, sweet and sour apple butter

It was good but it was way too much meat and way too little vegetables.

Bar Roma in Chicago? I'm going to jot this down on my notepad as a "go to" place whenever I'm in the Midwest.

I made Sam the Cooking Guy's short rib ragu with paparadelli and a Caesar salad for dinner tonight. It was a simple instant pot recipe, but tasted great, and was quite comforting.

Took the taco "meat" from this morning, added some frozen veggies and day old rice to make a "mexican" fried rice. Sunny-side up egg to top it off.

Two oranges for desert.
